You look at Iowa State and it’s just all about avoiding catastrophe in Ames because weird things happen there.

You look at Iowa State over there and it's all about the tradition of having a mascot that's a cross between the Chicken Hawk and Tasmanian Devil.

Late season game in Ames, Iowa.  It just scares you to death.

We’ve gotta do a better job as coaches, etc.

plus yardage on punt returns for the year, fuck all you pussies

I couldn't care less what he says today, apart maybe from injury updates. What I wanna know we won't know until the defense lines up on Saturday, and we see whether we're still trying to be cute, or if we finally trust them to just go out there and line up and hit somebody.

Asked about slow start on offense

A: I haven’t thought about it or talked about it

Right off the bat, press hits him with a basic statistic that Coach is not aware of and he goes on the defensive.

Asked about the use of 4 DL

A: we wanted some beef in heavy sets. We weren’t making any statement this week

Tom Herman actually said he was not aware that we're a slow-starting team on offense.

Christ, man.

Tom, the school song is The Eyes of Texas. Comments?
Honestly I didn’t even know that before you told me. That’s not something I pay attention to.

Tom your QB is Sam Ehlinger. Thoughts?
I had no idea that was the case until just this moment. Y’all think I’m kidding with this stuff but I’m not. It’s just not something I really care to pay attention to.

Herman is getting coaching ideas from Surly and denying it in press conferences.

Asked about misinformation on the program

A: trying to educate the fans on what to believe. If you want proof of how the team is doing, watch the games.

With Brewer out, look to see more of Epps in personnel groups

Negged.

Golden goes directly after Coach's asinine statements during his weekly show last week. Pretty much avoids the question and squirms at being called out in his PC.

Credit to Golden for being direct and to the point with that one.

he’s a size mismatch against any team.  it’s stupid not to have him on the field as much as possible.

Q on Brock Purdy and ISU

A: he had a lot of moxy and makes plays and comfortable in their offense

Tom has to be trolling when he says he hasn’t thought about our slow starts on defense, right? That’s like literally what a coach is supposed to be thinking about and trying to fix.

Asked about cold weather forecast in Ames

A: we will practice outside tomorrow. Temperature is way down the list of things we worry about for a game. Wind? Yes. Rain? Yes.

Asked about special teams

A: we have a lot of confidence in the holder and kicker. It’s a luxury. The punt return by Jones was great with an impressive block by Rojo

Did he mention the gametime for the Baylor game or is ESPN/ABC doing the 6-day hold?
