Buddy is getting remarried, he’s mid-40s. Meeting him out tonight bachelor party of sorts in Austin. Aside from strip clubs, other alternative clubs downtown?  I’m not in wedding party but might steer venue. He likes house music so maybe along those lines.

Mid-40's bachelor party? Bachelor parties after 30 seems sad and try-hardy.

Mid-40's, Thursday, house music?  I'd fake the flu.

Too late for a tee time.  Go have a steak and a bourbon then take it to the house.

What mid40s dude wants to “go out on the town?”   House music?  WTH is that?

Rent a suite at the driskell. Bring some bourbon and cocaine. Raw dog some escorts. Order room service.

This is the best idea thus far.

house music?

you need better friends.

better get him home in time for 'murder she wrote' and 'matlock'

I look forward to the late 40s bachelor party ideas for my friend whos getting reremarried thread in 2022

get a time machine that'll take everyone back to 1990. look for rave flyers on campus. invest a bit in glow sticks and x. done.

My buddy remarried at 43. This was more of a reunion of former party animals than a bachelor party. We rented the big Castle house on lake travis for three days, bought an ounce of quality blow, hired 3 escorts, and rented a giant boat for a day.

Took me a week to recover, but it was fucking amazing and totally worth it.

Go drink beer in someone's garage (whoever has the nicest one)

Two words... Rock Rose

In all seriousness at least in your 40s you should be able do do something really nice. Seeing that I guess the outing was last night maybe just give us an update on where you went. If you did anything less than $5K in private rooms at the Rose I'm disappoint.

Yeah, I'd like to hear more about what actually transpired last night.  And what is an overcast, chilly Friday like in your mid-40's after a Thursday night of "insert debauchery details here."

I didn’t get married until I was 43. No bachelor party, unless you count the first 43 years.

If I was to do that now I think it would involve some dry aged steaks or a brisket, some really good bottles, and a poker game.

Dovetailing onto this thread, I need to take some associates out to dinner and then have some fun. The ages range from 28 to 50. I was thinking about Ranch 616 or Perla's and then go check out some live music. Any other suggestions? It is a small group of 7 or so.

Perla’s and Continental would probably be good for some out of towners.

I did my bachelor party in Austin at the age of 43. Pretty simple and old school. Drinks at Midnight Cowboy, grub at Casino el Camino, some pinball and bar-hopping until the lightweights started showing structural failure.

By the time we hit Expose, we WERE the party. Made it rain and helped a couple of lovely deaf girls pay their tuition.

Did I mention it was a Tuesday?
