This fraud gave Herman his extension and is now the main reason we are stuck with him. Need a complete house cleaning of this disgusting, overrated athletic department.

Nah. Let's see how this plays out. Dude isn't going to fire Herman or Shaka until the end of the season (if that even happens this year). I bet it we miss another tourney Shaka is done. Herman probably has another year, unfortunately. Changes should be made in the off-season. Chill, amigo.

Firing CDC is obviously lulz, but he deserves heavy criticism for extending Herman after last year, even if it was partly booster/regent driven.  For once, I wish our athletic department would handle personnel and management decisions like grown ups, instead of jizzing ourselves like a 15 year old touching his first tit everytime one of our coaches has a good season.

Reminder: He gave an extension to a coach that lost 4 games and lost to Maryland twice.

But damn that fashion and Twitter game is on point!

At least the problem of students almost being crushed to death getting into the stadium has been solved. Advantage CDC

It was an elegant solution too.  Just don’t let them in.

Not surprising seeing how Shaka got the extension previously. Hell, we’ve gone aggy and overpaid out the ass per win in two major men’s sports.

CDC is a great salesman, which is half the job. He has energized our boosters into opening up their wallets so that we could upgrade our outdated facilities. He also has done an admirable job in improving the game day experience for the fans. Whether or not he is good to great at the other half of his job remains to be seen. We have to give him time though.

You are literally the only person on the planet who thinks this. Go fuck yourself troll.

Yeah. He had a good track record at TCU. Let's see how he handles our Basketball and Football (and probably Baseball...) coaching problems.

Its actually more than half the job, at least time and effort wise.

But the making sure you have the right football coach part is probably the most important job, because without that it makes everything more difficult.

I don’t give a shit about last year’s extension. Without actually reading and understanding the contract it could just be window dressing.

CDC is entering the most important phase of his tenure however because it’s pretty obvious the herminator is in over his head. Can he hire the right coach? We shall see.

Extension has zero to do with whether Herman gets fired.  He’ll probably get another year, but it’s not because of some stupid fucking extension.  BMDs can pay that buyout with couch cushion money.    And the loss in revenue from sucking pretty much offsets it.

tl;dr - OPs a dumbass

Call me a phaggot all you want. You guys are going to be really disappointed when Tom Herman is still HC in 2021.

I stand by my opinion. CDC has no idea what he’s doing.

Patterson and Schlossnagle were already there. The only major sport he had to make a hire for was basketball when he hired Jamie Dixon who was on the ropes at Pitt.

Yes, we will.

This brought up a 36 year old memory and I feel a little better about the events of the day.

But we have silent disco and other stuff for basic white girls to instagram themselves doing outside of the game and that is more important than winning.

Unfortunately everything is more important than winning with Bellmont. Same as it ever was.

I’ll never give a dime to that dumpster fire.

True

CDC basically threw Dixon a life preserver because he was probably gonna be canned by Pitt. He's proven to be a good hire for TCU, though, and it's his alma mater.

Did he really though? Or is he just another recent UT athletics flavor of the week hire.

As mentioned before, the pieces were in place already at TCU. I think he’s a good businessman and fundraiser but doesn’t know jack shit about hiring/firing coaches and on-field performance.

He’s basically a non evil Patterson that doesn’t piss everyone off and knows how to keep everyone very happy. Time will tell I guess.

Ah. Well that is less good.

CDC was handed Tom and rumor is that Big Cigars imposed the extension. So he gets a pass for one more year. When Tom falls flat yet again next year and CDC does nothing then we can fill up this thread with hateful remarks.

That’s not good though. If that’s true, CDC should have stood up to the Big Cigars after the Sugar Bowl and said “one more year of improvement, then absolutely.”

If he would have been watching closely, this season wasn’t as big of a surprise as one would think. 2018 was fluky as hell for many reasons.
