Nation-leading four Women's Golfers in latest Arnold Palmer Cup ranking

A nation-leading four Texas women's golfers are among the 25 United States golfers and 25 international golfers who are listed in the fall Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking for the 2020 matches, it was announced Friday.

The top-six golfers from the final ranking in the spring on both the United States and International side will be selected to compete in the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Using Golfstat's NCAA Player Ranking as a base, the Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking awards bonus points for wins and high finishes and a penalty for poor finishes. The ranking also contains a strength of schedule component.

In the United States' rankings, Texas junior Kaitlyn Papp is ranked No. 1, while senior Emilee Hoffman is No. 9. In the International rankings, freshman Sophie Guo is No. 3 and sophomore Sára Kousková is No. 25.

Papp has competed in each of the last two Arnold Palmer Cups for the United States.

The next Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking will be announced February 20.
