Great little doc about a guy driving around the country playing blackjack. Hits close to home for me as I played blackjack for a living for a short time. I played really low stakes so I never got backed off but have friends that did.

I watched this the other day,  goes to show you being a professional gambler (even as successful as he seems to be) is a grind.  Tough life that dude lives and it’s getting harder everyday.

Watched this.  Got sick to my stomach when he worked up to over $600K and then it quickly dropped all the way to under $300K.  Decided that was yet another reason I am not destined to be a professional blackjack player.

It is a grind and very lonely.

And yeah, the swings are absolute killers. I'm in the middle of one in poker and I'm questioning everything, even though the downswing is around 10% of what I made over the previous few months. One of the dealers even made a comment that when I went to the atm the other night it was the first time he had ever seen me use it.

I liked the scam where he sewed micro-chipped chips into his pants so that they would set off sensors when he lifted his knee up under the table and made the tracking computer think he was betting more than he was.

actually, not a scam, just him outthinking the casino, and at the time, the Casino wanted him there and was giving him hella-comps.

Im sure the casino thinking he was betting $2100-$2500 a hand 2 hands at a time earned him a literal shit-ton of comps.

and as he said, because he was actually only betting $100-$500 at a time the security guys didnt pay that much attention because it looked like he was only changing his bet amount a small amount for the amount bet-  super smart.

shit like that causes Jason Aldean to run for cover.

I liked how he would just fly out on a tip that a casino had a dealer that was tipping their hole card.  Long long time ago, we found a dealer that would check the hole card every single time in the little mirror (regardless of what card was showing on top).  He would give us a slight nod yay or nay as to what to do with our cards based on what he had.

Even for being a super low rollers, our group at that table walked away each up over $1K.

He dropped 625k on Ed Kings Redeye. So if nothing else he is committed.
