1) what size pedal did pops have?

2) Allens makes some nice boots. Not my style, but they appear to be quality so I can’t knock ‘em.

Got a custom-made pair of Black Jacks. I have 32 pairs of boots and these are now my favorites. I must have walked 20 miles this weekend in them and they are super comfortable, partly because I had th

My grandson woke up and dug my 25 year old pair of Red Wing Pecos out of the closet.  They’ve been patched and worn to hell but still feel like silk.  Not so CSB about that pair.  In 1999, @TexasEd an

  • Try this again. I ordered two pair that I had fitted in Nashville last year. These came in first, the others should arrive by the end of the month.  They do damn good work.

OOPS ... 11-1/2 D I think.  I need to take some pics.  I think the others were lizard.

I used to love the old Tony Llamas , but moved into Luchesse more for "dress up" until they get beat up a little.  Made me think back to my first pair, probably 1975?spacer.png

I'm old enough to remember when sea turtle was relatively common.  I guess before they were on the endangered list or before trading in hides was verboten.  Cool boots, but knowing what I know now, I guess I'd feel bad about wearing them.

I'm not sure "private transactions" of boots not made in violation of law, "pre-embargo," is illegal.  But there may be ethical concerns just from wearing them.

I had a pair of elephant in high school, again before anything negative was attached to trading in elephant hides.  Interesting looking hide and extremely tough.  For a while, you couldn't get it.

Now, it's available again and I believe obtained from naturally expired elephants.

Coupla dudes in high school had those.  I kinda thought they were cool at the time, maybe because the guys that wore em were kind of cool.

Had the opportunity to get some and passed.

Yes I was.  And you passed because you weren't... 😉

Cowboy boots were born from my prior wearing of Dingo boots in Jr High.  But if you were cool, you had to immediately crush the square toe of the dingo boot... to make it cool...

Yeah, loving the coast so much, I have mixed feelings about them.  If they fit I would probably wear them occasionally.  I need to find somebody with a room full of trophy mounts from canned hunts, to really appreciate them...
