They go back to Ricky Gervais for hosting.

No Game of Thrones nomination is correct but has to be a huge disappointment for HBO (although it's never been a GG fave).  Good to see Chernobyl get several nominees and Succession up for best Drama.  Is it a drama?

For movies, Scorcese and the Irishman is up for several as is the Joker.  Might it be ironic if The Joker beat The Irishman?  Probably give it to the Two Popes.

Wife flipped it over just in time to see Salma taking her tits out in public.

Selma and Sofia looking scorching.

Glad Chernobyl won. That was the only thing I was hoping for.

But Ricky’s open was great. “Come get your award and sit down and shut up.”

Salma with her own pair of golden globes.

This has to be one of the largest singular groups of the most shallow and narcissistic assembled in one place.  During Gervais intro, they were literally looking at each other to determine whether or not they should laugh or find anything funny.  Fake.

Salma's tits are not fake and I appreciate them greatly.

hoping Dolemite wins.  That movie kept my attention in a way movies rarely do.  it was fantastic.  The Irishmen was really great too imo.

Tom Hanks is also an amazing human.  Loved seeing him tear up over his family.

it was funny.  he did his job, I still haven't changed the channel.

and fucking-A I love Ellen.  she deserved that award.

Seems many did not heed Ricky’s advice about the being preachy bit.

ScarJo out there with minimizers..... It's hilarious to me that Jost gets to go the A-list stuff and just be a goof.

why did Jennifer Anniston almost tear up when reading Russell Crowe's speach for winning?  it was about the fires and climate change but she seemed generally anxious.

Eddie Murphy shoulda won best actor.  F-that.

He was fantastic but Edgerton was legit as Elton.... sang all of his own stuff too.  No issues.

1917.... looks fantastic.  need to go see it!

It looks like a well made WWI version of Saving Private Ryan.

We have to remember that people like Joaquin are our betters.

we need to stop taking private jets to palm springs.  maybe we can do that just sometimes, for the planet?  I'll try to do better too.  mkaybai.

1917 is the sort of dark horse winner...... Looks tremendous.

I don't go to the theater a lot.  I'll see 1917 in the theater absolutely.

laura dern for marriage story and olivia colman for the crown were the only netflix winners i think.

hbo did well (succession, chernobyl), big screen movies did well (once upon a time, 1917).

Gervais saying “kill me” after long, droning duo of Phoenix and Zellweger was greatness

I thought that was the funniest, and led  to the ‘get drunk, take your drugs and Fuck off” ending.   Lulz.  Perfect
