I hope they think he can play inside

This sounds like an ILB

Quote

Ian Boyd on the commitment: Ford is more of a true linebacker prospect than Texas has often landed from the high school game. His training and skills revolve around playing in the box, reading flow, beating blocks, and finishing plays. He generates a lot of power easily over short distances and is good at side stepping blockers and bringing down ball carriers.

In the new 4-down defense he’d probably be best as a weakside linebacker that can stay in the box and not get sent into space by flexed out receivers.

I guess it was for Utah

Are we allowed to sign linebackers?  I thought that was against the rules.

Also, I'm no Daddy98 and I don't know shit, but that kid showed more reading, diagnosing, taking on blocks, taking a good angle and finishing plays in his junior hudl than we saw from of our LBs all season.

Trust Whitingham's LB evals so sems like a good get.

I'd be willing to bury my face in that ass for every recruit that signs with the good guys. Nice to see a linebacker in the fold.

Hook’em welcome to The Forty

Brooke Burke's heyday is seemingly about the time we last signed a rock star LB anyways, right? (Yes, I'm using sarcasm. I remember Malik.)

Almost 20 years since her show was on I believe, but she's still a better looking woman than Malik is a LB unfortunately.

Excellent.  Happy to see a talented LB.  Hook'em, Jaylan!

Stupid right foot tattoo. Would not bang.

IDK man. If Orlando wasn't interested enough to offer him and he's a LB guy, can he be that good? Todd? Todd? TODD!!!!!!

Still waiting for Stanco's measured take to help me decide what to think.
