It’s not going to be Shaka. We’ve seen 4+ years of bad basketball. He can recruit well enough but he’s not a good enough coach.  Other coaches could take his talent and consistently make the tournament.  He can’t.  It’s going to cost somebody on the order of 10M to buy out him and his assistants.

So who do we go after?   I saw on the Providence thread a suggestion that we look at Gregg Marshall.  I’m intrigued.  I know other big programs have come after him but he’s stayed at Wichita for a long time.  Why?  He’s paid well for a mid major (3.5M).  He’s never coached at a major but he’s always won.  CDC should be gathering info on him and if he hasn’t already.

but is Marshall a developer of men?

I'll take anyone that can run a real, half court offense.  Jesus fuck is that too much to ask?

haven't changed my stance on Marshall and never will. do not want. he is not a fit in Austin and never will be.

Chris Beard isn't leaving Tech unless a UNC, DUke or Kentucky come calling.

We should have gone after Chris Mack when he was available. Other than that I have no clue who is a some badass coach we could go after.
