April 17, 20187 yr Charley Pride was always a staple in the old man's LP collection. And I remember the day he bought this album. Classic group of songs. It had been out of print for a few years, then around 71 they rereleased it. Edited April 17, 20187 yr by hullabelew
April 17, 20187 yr Turn out the Lights... Regarding Charlie Pride...My grandfather was president of RCA records in the 60s . They chose not to put a picture of Charlie on his early albums. He was there when Charlie first appeared on the Opry. Charlie walked out to applause then it just died. He said something like “if you think you’re surprised I am too”Csb. Oh. And my grandfather passed on the Beatles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
