I watch a lot of film, but animation has become a passion. "Tangled" first pulled me in a few years ago; I was drawn to its tortured production history (top-five-most-expensive film of all time in any genre), the blending of 2D and 3D animation, and the artistry of Glen Keane. I now have about 50 blurays in the library and add a few more each month.

My goal is to own/watch every film on the Laputo Animation Festival list (150) and the Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Animated Film list... plus any other that catch my attention.

The wife and I went to Disney World at the end of February, and she indulged me by sitting through the short film festival 4 times ("Get a Horse!", "Feast", and "Piper"). I bought a Disney release that includes the first two, and also "Paper man", an awesome short by one of the Tangled animators that also blends 2D and 3D animation.

My newest additions:

Yellow Submarine

A Scanner Darkly

The Wind Rises

Pinocchio

Yes, I would and just put it on my wish list. I've seen that book referenced several times. Ollie Johnston was a mentor to Glen Keane and animated Alice. I see a lot of Alice in Rapunzel.
