Oh, you are about to see.  The next 6 weeks says, hold my beer.

Yeah it was already gonna be really wild before the election or when she checked out. Crazy that they’re so close together.

Gale Sayers.  77.

That movie traumatized me in elementary.   Not sure why we had to watch it.

Wrong Gale Sayers - the one that died today was the football player from Brian's Song, another movie that traumatized me in elementary school.

I was thinking of the Gale Sayers from Behind the Green Door.  She died years ago.

Both tacos.

So..... she's not on the 2020 lit.

And I'm not wishing for it at all, because there is a lot of High School nostalgia with Shannon and the rest of her crew, but sad to re-report Shannon Doherty's breast cancer has come back and stage 4.

shes been fighting it now for almost 2 years

her initial diagnoses was in 2017, went into remission,  and the original Feb article says she was fighting the cancer before Luke Perry died. (March 4 2019)

She has plans to write letters and leave video messages for friends and family for after her death.

"There are things I need to say to my mom. I want my husband to know what he's meant to me," she said. "But whenever it comes time for me to do it, it feels so final. It feels like you're signing off, and I'm not signing off."

"I feel like I'm a very, very healthy human being. It's hard to wrap up your affairs when you feel like you're going to live another 10 or 15 years," Doherty added.

Fucking A.   Can’t imagine that.  As somebody in their 40s, I just can’t.

Unfortunate.  I guess she was not invincible.

Mac Davis, 78.

I guess he's humble now.

Lubbock is definitely in his rear view mirror now.

So who's gonna call Possums games now?

My first stepmother always claimed to be related to him. Her cousin's boy or some such. Never had reason to doubt her.

He's another fine Lubbock musician.

Hub City has cranked out a few.

Before Mac got the loose leash, he had to crank out some commercial money makers.

Plan for a long life: eat lots of peanuts, lust in your heart some, be selfless and work for Habitat in your old age.

I can do that.

I can do that.

And when you’re fishing, have Secret Service snipers nearby, in case you encounter a swamp rabbit

Is he going to be buried in Lubbock, Texas - in his jeans?

74 years?  GD, that's incredible.  I was a Ford kid but Carter's a hell of a man.

Not sure how this is “holy shit.”   He’s been at death’s door for two decades.  But yes, it still sucks.

Showing my age here... I always thought Van Halen was just the band name, didn’t know it was the name of the main guy.

Two of them, skippy.

Ugh. I hate this year.  My neighbors are also about to hate me.
