Congrats if you picked Kirk Douglas. You lose pts since he was 103

I am just happy I got one right.

RIP Orson Bean (91) - run over & killed by a car while walking in his Venice Beach neighborhood.

LOL...

Wow, he was only 88? He seemed 70 thirty years ago. If death is inevitable...

”Claydesta” was a welcome oasis in West Texas back when I had to call it home for a year in the early 80’s.

When it’s your turn to take a dirt nap, you may as well lay back, relax and enjoy it.

So another former co-host of the View knew Walters isn’t doing well, shared that with Jenny McCarthy, who then decided to report that on her show? Shady move by Jenny.

She's got her motives, Barbara didn't back her when she was on the show, got kicked off by the flaky bitches

20 y.o. (aspiring?) rapper Pop Smoke was just killed and it raised a few questions :

Something like this is 80 pts. Most of ya'll have a bunch of Olds in your picks. How many points usu "wins" these things?

How famous do you have to be (would Pop or Kobe's kid have counted as a celebrity)?

I don't really know how many points it takes to win the contest, but if even one name on my list kicks the bucket then we will all be winners.

I think the general rule of thumb is that the person needed to have an actual Wikipedia page before their death.

James Lipton makes the list at 93.

Max Von Sydow was a great actor. He made an HBO movie in '95 called Citizen X with Donald Sutherland about detectives on the trail of a serial killer in Soviet Russia. Fantastic movie.

Von Sydow hurts. Great actor and presence.

In Hannah and Her Sisters get gives a monologue about TV that is brilliant. It's Woody Allen at his best but delivered by Von Sydow's profound, deep voice.

Finally lost the chess game. RIP

No one picked Tom Hanks?

That would have been a 100 to 1 bet 2 months ago. Still think it's a longshot, but the odds are dropping.

Anybody got the stock market in their pool?

Worth 8,000 points if you do.

Who had Lyle Waggoner?

Lyle made more money renting trailers than he ever did acting. Always have a Plan B.

Actor Stuart Whitman has also died. He was 92.

Fear of karma keeps me from participating in this thread, but I just saw a sportswriter turned broadcaster with a serious illness history on an ESPN NFL show, and he didn’t look good.

Chris Berman?

I feel like maybe we should hold a new and separate "Coronavirus Only" pool. Maybe allow submissions through 12:01am Central on Saturday (so the next day and a half are for entries? Or have the deadline a day later for maximum visibility?) and the mini-season ends in two months? Say on Memorial Day?

Anyone else interested?

I don’t think any famous people are going to die from Covid19

You don’t think 20 years of cigarettes and cocaine count as an underlying condition?

Well since this all started in bats, Ozzy is probably safe.

there's a lot of elderly Hollywood royalty...Nicholson, Streep, Redford etc etc... but they probably have the means and resources to stay extra healthy as well as safely secluded and top rate medical care. they probably have pretty good odds. like Magic having the cure for HIV.

Kenny Rogers, folds ‘em at 81.
Willie is the last one left. Glad I saw him at the rodeo before this virus hit. Houston's biggest star.

This is why I don’t think anyone like that is gonna die.

Loretta Lynn is getting up there, but I suspect she is more like Willie than Kenny and will live forever.

I think Kris Kristofferson goes next, before Willie.

Kenny Rogers being only 81 is the biggest shocker. Sad news though.
