Happy '20's everybody. My resolution is to get through this backlog of beer I've hoarded from the past decade. Started tonight. Gonna be a good year.

Is that a lot of rolled straw mat?

It’s almost a mile’s worth. 16’ wide. You have to pound these big staples through it to hold it tight to the dirt. Every 10’ or so along each edge and down the middle. Keeps bare dirt on recently seeded grass from washing out in a big rain.

It was a lot, and it was hot. And beer was good.

I’ve got a Swingline guy. He can hook you up.

Had this one yesterday. Great beer.151e639cf8668754ceb1909da22783eb.jpg

This beer is so drinkable.  It's my favorite saison by quite a bit.  I still don't know if the name is "15" or "Square Root of 225" or something else entirely.

Highly recommend if you’re down FloriBama way this summer.720296add6f587cc45177826062faf83.jpg

Picked this up with some Bearded Iris stuff

Now that I have my reservation confirmation firmly in hand, I'll let you all know that LOBC is now accepting reservations thru their website (using OpenTable) for this weekend.  You can find me there tomorrow afternoon, I'll be the guy drinking beer.

Saturday, imo.

Saturday beer drinkers are the worst.  So much less cool than Friday day-drinkers.  IMO.

(I just might be there Saturday too)

I really think that, more important than the whole “Friday v. Saturday” thing, is what glass they rockin’? Am I wrong?

Drank a lot of Weldwerks last time I was in Colorado. Good stuff.

Even better IN A PINT GLASS!!!!

Spent a few hours at LO yesterday, they have roggenbier on draught, which is one of my favorite of their seasonals.  Also grabbed a case of Another Pils to go, that's a really tasty beer.

Had one of these last night, given to me by a neighbor who doesn't like "them dark beers"...LOLz.   I win.

It was quite tasty.

From a friend:

“I am too fucking old to know how to copy messages to here but Sacha is having the Petrol good bye party tonight. They have no electricity and the windows are busted out so the party is outdoors. BYO...beer, liquor, chairs and tiki torches.Sacha says that Bens truck broke down at Petrol so if anyone can bring a "tow rope thingy" to move his truck.....times are tough apparently”

sounds like the party is over.

A little after the fact, but still glorious

My cousin lives in Solon so this hits close to home. They have some good beers especially for small town Iowa

They definitely do. Small town Iowa has an unusual amount of great breweries per capita.

Pro tip: just having your pint glass relate to the beer you’re drinking is SO passé and 2020.

For 2021, the BIG beer fad will be pillows that match your cans! Start stocking up now!
