Pivo is about 15 miles from Toppling Goliath, and while they don’t have the flash and rep, they make a lot of great beer. Diverse breadth of styles. Tomorrow is their 3rd anniversary and they will have 54 of their own on tap

We are in a golden age for beer in America.  The availability of good local beer nearly everywhere is amazing.

Honestly I hope it can maintain.  It would definitely be the outlier.

Happy '20's everybody. My resolution is to get through this backlog of beer I've hoarded from the past decade. Started tonight. Gonna be a good year.

Someone mentioned Toppling Goliath?

Drinking those two back to back will make for a short afternoon.

Treehugger is fantastic. Sweet, rounded, and the alcohol completely hidden.

Love a good barleywine, wish I could get my hands on it.

New one for me, 5 Stones Golden Wisdom IPA out of New Braunfels. Good stuff.9afe07765f1af22b7cebd45917f2750c.jpg

Wish Blanco was closer.

It's pretty good. Don't remember seeing other Zythophile series on the shelves.

Darkness and light. The duality of man. The Jungian thing, sir.

I noticed they finally dropped the price of KBS to $16.99/4 pack. At least at HEB.

I’m more interested in the chili.

I’m sure the Lone Pint is legit though. One of my favorite Texas breweries

Homemade Texas red chili.  Yes, there are Fritos in the bottom of that bowl...  LOL

Damn it was so good, I had a 2nd bowl of just chili.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit this was my first purchase of Lone Pint, because I thought all of their stuff was too hoppy.  I think this one is 28 IBU, so I took a shot.   Very nice brown ale.

I’m a hop fan, and Yellow Rose was one of the first single malt single hop beers I had.

We went out and had a few yesterday right as the front was rolling in.  Perfect...if it wasn't for all the fly's.  We weren't even eating and kept getting swarmed.  We must smell like shit.

We were eating, and the flies were still landing on us.

That looks like the ‘slime’ my daughter plays with.

Home brewed blackberry Saison. Watching a terrible college football game, because frankly I feel like the spirit of the holiday demands it.

Back when I was still hunting those, the regular was $9.99. I guess more supply and less demand has lead to the price increase.

Cheers to Herman’s departure.

They are not THAT fucking special.  I guess they found their threshold for pricing, at least with this customer.  There is a better variety available now than when they started doing that release...and it seems insane to be doing price increases along with the other dynamic.

Yeah they're not special at all these days. Zero reason to buy them.
