June 8, 20187 yr Not gonna lie, I teared up a bit seeing ovi's pure, unadulterated joy when he was handed the cup. Good for him, and the Caps. I love hockey so hard

I love hockey so hard I'm just glad to root for a Washington team that didn't tank once again. Loved it when I lived in Dallas and the Stars won. And this is sweet. Love Oshie too and great to see him win even though he's only been a recent Cap. Edited June 8, 20187 yr by Mdhorn
June 8, 20187 yr my fav comment-- I am a lifetime Golden Knights fan. The Caps were the better team tonight. Congrats.

June 8, 20187 yr Yes what the Knights accomplished this year was unprecedented, but they must have a really empty feeling right now.

As someone who "gave up" on Ovechkin a couple of years ago, I could not be happier for him. To see the joy on his face made me really, really happy for him. He deserved this and I don't think I've ever been happier for any player. He had to wait a long time and he put in the work to earn it.
June 8, 20187 yr TJ Oshie just made me tear up. He was asked about his dad, who's battling Alzheimer's. TJ said his dad has a hard time remembering things, but he's in the arena and he's sure as hell gonna remember this.

June 8, 20187 yr Texas Stars and some other team are the only ones left playing in north America. *Series tied 2-2.Go Stars. *I don't know if there are other leagues paying in north America right now and I don't care to look ut to.
June 8, 20187 yr And I know it's the Toronto Marlies. I'm drunk. And high. Hunk. I'm hunk. Can't win it at home but might as well win the game you have left.
June 8, 20187 yr That was an awesome game last night. Happy for the Caps/Ovi and have some DC friends that probably aren't making it to work today. Knights were a good story but really didn't want them winning it all. Fans need to go through years of disappointment to really appreciate winning it all.
June 8, 20187 yr Wish the series went a bit longer, but it was definitely a fair result. Knights were just so timid in the Finals, though I think that's mainly to the Caps being on a completely other level. That pass for the opening goal was so, so beautiful.
