Meanwhile, tornadoes kept popping up overnight, now a warning for Luka, MS.  Please evacuate the 2nd floors.

Been sneeting in Frisco for the last few hours. NDSU is gonna feel right at home for their game against Jimmy Madison at 11AM.

Snow in the 225, but not sticking even that much.

Snowing pretty good -- or it was -- in 209 over by Love Field. Big-ass flakes. Sticking to furniture and what-not, little bit in the yard.

Rain... it finally fucking rained in da ATX!

Got 1.9” of rain in Brushy Creek (78717)

0.7" in NW SA, plus i already had about half an inch of dust in the rain gauge.

We ended up with a little over 2 inches of rain along with some crazy winds last night.  Fortunately we didn't have any damage or lose power last night.  I know not everyone in our area was so lucky last night.

There is a hail threat for parts of SE Texas and into the Mississippi and Tennessee valleys.

So is tomorrow the day?  Can we get a shitload of wind as well to knock more pollen down and rain it out.

Could be a wet week for most of Texas.  This is form the NWS, but I've seen local forecasts calling for more rain than this over SE and Central Texas.

I would like a little Highland Lake Recharge Event, sans flooding.

Unfortunately that’s not haw it has seemed to work recently.

Whatever we can get, however we can get it. I wonder how many more straws are pulling from the lakes since the last drought?

So there's a 5% chance of a giant penis coming out of Mexico and going through Texas into Louisiana and Mississippi.

It should be hot and wet, like SA's Mom, for the next 10 days.

Considering that's for 6am today until 6am Thursday, it's kind of spot on.

Holy crap, that Nashville tornado(es) went over 50 miles and on the ground more than an hour.  You can see the damage path by turning on traffic on Google Maps.  From northeast of Pegram to Lebanon to New Middleton, running along I-40 on the east end of the path.  Came down again and hit Cookeville, at least 16 dead there, 22 total in Tennessee so far.  Some homes leveled to the slab, NWS prelim estimates at least EF-3 damage.

He was 1.5 miles away from the tornado core.

From a TV station a half mile from the core path:

Scary when that shit hits in the middle of the night like that. Heard they had no warning in Nashville and like six minutes in East Nashville.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see that upgraded to an EF4 when they get to investigate it further.  Thoughts definitely go out to the Nashville area.

Um, no.

That tornado's storm cell produced tornado warning for over 200 miles, from Camden, TN to Knoxville.

The link I posted was for "Day 2" of the current period of days in which they the SPC posts these "warnings".  The link changes constantly because it is a link for "day 2".  The graphic posted above is actually for Wednesday because as of this morning it was "day 2".  You have to look a the "valid" section of the box in the lower left hand corner.

I didn't think it was possible to be "inside" a tornado - I thought it was like a vacuum in there. Is that what he actually means, like being in the eye of a hurricane?

Woke up last night (in Nashville) to sirens and alarms and my hotel shaking from the wind. Went back to sleep. Didn't realize how crazy it was; 25 dead now?
