They beat 7 teams that were ranked in the top 10 when they played them.

They beat 5 teams that finished ranked in the top 8 at the end of the season.

They scored 23 in a game once as their lowest offensive output. Every other game was 36+, with an average of 48 ppg.

What a weird index.

Lmao. LSU just kicked Clemson's ass on the field and they are behind them?

Also, Aggy is one spot ahead of Texas. Whooop!!!!! put it on the wall!!! How many topics on Texags will be created about this useless index?

Tough to say, it might be pretty confusing for them. One spot ahead of Texas, but they don't win the national championship by proxy in this ratings set.

Another great example at why a computer software should never decide a football top 25.

Well, no, that's not the conclusion you should reach.  I mean, I could devise software that ranks teams alphabetically, and that would be dumb, but it wouldn't be an indictment of the concept.  Maybe ESPN and their genii just aren't all that smart.

Noticed that Ohio State's SRS rating is the highest for 2019 at College Football Reference. LSU was second. The difference was because of the defense. Bama is third, Clemson fourth. Texas was #19. aggy #26, one spot ahead of SMU.

Its pretty hard to square up the Buckeye DSRS and getting 29 scored on them by Clemson, and LSU only allowing 25.

Well, they do take into account all 14 or 15 games played. Also, Clemson had 31-33 if they'd allowed the Higgins TD to stand -- which it should have. In short, though, it don't make a shit.

That index (and others) has me wanting to lay some pipe.
