He'd leave a head coaching job for OC there?  Rather unusual...

My reaction as well.

Then again, I think even living in Syracuse is better than living in Lake Charles.

Did the Syracuse president have to fly out to wherever the hell McNeese is to convince him to come?

No but he didn't get to bring his calf with him.

I sincerely hope he does well. Maybe he could've had success here (with a young and not overly sturdy QB) if he didn't have an OL made up of wet toilet paper.

Will Charlie be named Dino’s DC too?

At best Syracuse can hope to get to middle of the pack Big 10. I think Charlie could field a middle of the pack Big 10 Defense.

I hope Dino, Sterlin and the rest of Syracuse at least know which conference they are in.

You just look at schedule in the ACC over there and it just seems like Syracuse plays in the Big 10.

Well yeah that would be pretty amazing.

I really dont pay that much attention to Syracuse, ACC or Big 10. Sorry they should still be midpack there

Rocky Long supposedly interviewed for DC at Syracuse before he "retired" from SDSU.  But Sterlin's much younger than Long.

At best Syracuse can hope to get to top tier of the AAC. I think Charlie could field a top tier AAC Defense.

State officials probably decided to siphon money from McNeese State salaries to pay for the new LSU coordinator hires.

Mid-table is the preferred nomenclature.

We’re aware.  You dedicated an entire thread to it.

Not alot to siphon.

Wilson’s salary at McNeese has not been announced, but the American Press in Lake Charles, La., previously reported that former coach Sterlin Gilbert’s base salary was $180,000. Lance Guidry, McNeese’s coach in 2018, also earned a base salary of $180,000, according to the American Press.
