February 4, 20205 yr Vandy has canned their AD after he blew through their entire $17m rainy day fund in under a year On a positive note, the interim AD is a historic hire
February 4, 20205 yr Popular Post Well if we'd known they wanted to spend $17M we could have sent them a basketball coach.

February 4, 20205 yr it's Vanderbilt, I don't honestly care enough to get it right....and that’s fair.
February 4, 20205 yr Yeah, I remember there was a little more to the story. Williams, the previous AD, died 8 days after retiring and a few hours before his retirement party. https://www.al.com/sports/2019/02/former-vanderbilt-ad-david-williams-dead-at-71-8-days-after-stepping-down.html

Cause of death: undisclosed...New guy comes in and blows entire $17m in a year.... Hmmmm...

October 15, 20241 yr It’s “We’re fkin turnt!” per Diego Pavia. Super pumped to be headed there next week to watch with my youngest who just graduated from there. BTW. For fans who like to watch great teams up close near mid field, there’s not a better place in the SEC than Vandy right now. Compared to ticket prices around the conference to see the top teams…it’s a “deal” to sit low near mid field and enjoy a game. I hope and believe we take care of business Saturday against UGA and roll into Nashville for what should be a really fun game.

My favorite posts on SEC message boards are Alabama fans saying they're thankful not to be Vanderbilt fans or grads cause the team isn't good. Okay.

Lmao at those Bama fans. I’m sure most Vanderbilt grads are thankful they didn’t go to Alabama 1. Stop being shitty losers. 2. My career and financial health has loved being a UT and Vanderbilt grad, thus far. As much as it was difficult to be a Texas Football fan from 2010-2021, especially after my fandom really began during the 1998 season with Ricky’s Heisman and the subsequent run of good Texas teams, I’m glad that I learned how to detach my emotions from football results. Alabama fans are going to need to learn how to do that a little more now that the landscape has much more potential parity at the top due to NIL and Saban’s retirement. September 4Sep 4 Guess this is the place for this story. Having grown up in NM, and knowing many guys like this (hell, I used to be one of these guys), this is no surprise at all. Take a couple of ignorant blue collar, hard partying New Mexicans and put them in polite company, and this is bound to happen. https://www.kob.com/new-mexico/brothers-of-new-mexico-football-star-arrested/

This is very much on brand for the unique from any other state form of crazy that NM generates. I bet they "grew up hunting deer with knives" too. Yes, that's a direct quote said in absolute serious tone, by a grown ass adult to teenage boys. Edited September 4Sep 4 by BurntEyes

September 4Sep 4 Not surprised at all. I was at last year’s homecoming game against South Carolina (I’m Vandy undergrad and UT grad) and those two jabronis were acting like jackasses in their overalls/no shirt combos. Hammered gonna hammered.
