Can't believe the commentators missed Ericcson's crash live. He was right on the top of the screen and clearly slammed the wall.

I think he's just searching for balance, he's been stuck around people like Karam and Veach all race and can't gain any ground.

Listening to Dixon's radio on the app and this second extended yellow is going to help Dixon on fuel mileage. They were already talking a lot about having to save fuel while also leading the race. Now it'll be easier for them to hit their numbers and take two more stops.

Askew slammed hard. Man his rears just kicked out on the brakes.

I understand why they started using the aeroscreen, but it seems like this is making it harder for the driver to get out after a wreck.   Add that in with the amount of fires we have seen today and this is a asking for disaster.

I dunno, I think they're getting out about as fast as always, a couple guys have been a bit clumsy with the air hose on the helmet but they'll adjust to that. The belts and steering wheel take the longest and they're unchanged.

Rossi takes the lead, Dixon let him by pretty easily, they want to save fuel behind him a little bit

Sucks for Dixon, dominated all day, was my pick to win but Sato was on rails in the last stint and the yellow cut it a bit short. Dixon may not have caught him anyway but oh well.

Congrats to Sato.

Alonso finishes 21st. OWard finishes as the highest rookie and 1 of only 2 Chevy engines in the top 10.

They can't fix the track to get back to green in any reasonable amount of time to red flag it.

Alonso says he'll beat McLaren next year

That particular spot is the most dangerous spot on the track, they can't run green until it's properly fixed, and it would have taken way too long to then come back and run a couple green laps.

I'd really like to know an honest estimate of how long it would take to repair that tire barrier. Anything less than about 45 minutes and I think they should have red flagged it.

I hate how IndyCar can end under yellow.

Sounds like Alonso stalled it

Had to push start Alonso

So apparently he had an electrical problem that started early on. It was fucking up his gearbox & clutch. Had to reset the gearbox 2 or 3 times & was pushed out of the pits at least twice as well.

i once watched jacques villeneuve get fucked out of a win at his home track because nascar just kept saying one more lap until this thing is cleaned up.  wasn't really  a fan of that either.
