We now squarely in the no-football time of the year, minus the xfl, and our bball team blows. Think that means.....time for some bold predictions for the upcoming year. Will suggest some topics but feel free to add on or throw away. Remember they need to be BOLD not italic. Feel free to be as pessimistic or optimistic as you want.

Prediction for a win or loss-opponent or score

prediction for a breakout player or regression

Incoming freshman that will outplay ranking or underwhelm

Coach that will be on the hot seat the quickest or get on the “cold seat”

Surprising stat for the season

-team

-player

End of the year surprise-award, record, bowl, firing, etc.

Scenario people don’t see coming-injury, position change, depth chart, dkr entertainment, recruiting, etc

I'm just here for the outstanding azz avatars, Mahdoud!

Ingram ends up 3rd string RB behind Bijan and RJ before the end of the season.

5 kick or punt return TDs

Overshown lands in the 65-75 tackles on the season range playing a hybrid LB/S role

JQJ has a wildcat package that gets used in at least 5 games.

We go 10-2, beating OU and LSU but losing to two teams we shouldn’t. ISU and OSU at their place to end the year might be it because that would be just like Herm to go 10-0 and fuck off the last two games. Make it to the Big 12 CCG. Herm sticks around.

RJ stays on at running back, forming a high quality 3-deep with Ingram and Bijan.

Whittington is moved to WR to help fill in the voids left by the losses of CJ and Duvernay.

We beat LSU at their place and we beat OU in Dallas.  We Probably drop a game (or two) that we shouldn’t, but we still play in the big12ccg (and probably win).  We are in the discussion for a CFP spot, but probably fall short of actually getting one.

We End our season in the sugar bowl again, this time against Florida.  We win that game; and herman expands his perfect bowl record And improves to 3-0 against the SEC in the post season at Texas.

Herman remains HC. Major hype builds for 2021.

Start the year off 6-0, multiple-TD wins over LSU & OU (that's not a bold prediction, we will skullfuck both of them easily. They'll both drop off big time this year). We crack the top 5. Herman's God complex reaches fever pitch. We finish the year 3-3, miss the Big12 CG again. Obligatory bowl game W means a 10-3 finish, Herman gets another year. 2021 rolls around, no more Sam to save Herman's ass. Herman's fully exposed and we go 7-5 or worse. He gets fired.

I think we usually have ONE every other year.  This is crazy talk.

We go undefeated and win the national championships.  We all get laid afterward.  Half of Surly tries getting pegged after watching Nowthis' videos.

And then finally, in Jan 2022, you can cum.

We win 12 games next year including the bowl, but lose to OU in the cotton bowl so nobody cares. Sam goes to New York but doesnt win. Next season will be like eating a fine steak that was dropped on the floor.

We go to redstick and come out on fire.  Ogre goes crampkitty.   Our fans go berserk.  Corndog triggered.  Worse than Columbus.

Ogre 37

Therm 35

1-1

With an extra bye week to prepare we go to the purple apple and "come together" under the new coaches/schemes.

Therm 42

not the wizard 28

3-1

Fair Park.  Does 0u sign another heisman candidate in the portal?  Have no idea how this one goes.  And therefore can't karnak past this one.

Maybe over-bold, but at least three of the NooCorches are said to be more than competent at ST witchery, so there's that.

Fool me once you can’t get fooled again. We lose 3 games OU LSU and one crazy game we shouldn’t

eagles shows out. Bijan goes for 800 defense is still a confused mess full of stupid talent

I think we beat K-state by 20+ before we go to Dallas, even with the wizard in the building.

Foster finds a permanent home for a position and winds up being one of our top defenders.

I think Hullaby will score at least 2 touchdowns this year. Also think j. Thompson(fr.) will play more than expected. Maybe a special teams plus.
huetzler (sp.) will shock the foillowing and have the lbs play better than expected. Think he will also make our special teams improve noticeably.

Stats- from above, I think our special teams will be in the top 25%.  Don’t exactly know how those stats are aggregated but our return game will go from non-existent to top quarter of the nation.
player-Jared Wiley will catch at least 3 touchdowns and have plus 350 yards receiving.
Bijan will be top 5 on the team in receiving yards.

end of year-think we will play ok state in the championship game. Being less bold, regardless if we aren’t in it, Oklahoma will not be in the big12 championship game.
Sam will get invited to New York for the heisman.
Eagles AND jake smith will make an all big 12 team.

Beasts wild with hunger shall cross the rivers:Most of the fighting shall be close by the Hister [Danube],It shall result in the great one being dragged in an iron cage,While the Rhine child of Germany will observe.

I've translated this to mean all of them, we will win all of them.

Oh, and also possibly someone named "Hister" starting a world war

We win the Big 12 and get picked as the #4 seed. Then we go on to lose badly to Ohio State or Clemson, prompting Luicci to proclaim BDF a joke and that Herman is way over his head. Surly bitches about offensive play calling and the defense is labeled 3rd and Ash. Fans tweet at CDC asking for staff changes. CTJ writes an essay on how close CDC was to firing Tom and the money was there for him to use.

User name does not check out.

For all of Herman's faults, getting blown out isn't one of them, and I could see him having the team ready and play up against a playoff team.

They're supposed to be bold predictions.

If we make it to the CFP this year, I don't think we would match up well against Clemson or Ohio State. When those teams are playing for a spot in the final, they can blow out an overmatched opponent like Texas. Even if we win the Big 12 this year, we would still be a year or two away from competing at the highest level.

This Spring the smart money thinks we lose 5 games with a sure loss to OU.

After some impressive practices in the Spring and some cool tweets with motivational shit the general consensus moves to only 3 losses with a 50/50 split on the OU game predictions.

Freshmen will impress...  the swell of optimism continues to rise...

Come Fall practice time some darkhorse player will have earned a new badass nickname because of one play in practice that goes viral. With ________’s newfound leadership on the field we just can’t lose to OU.  CAN’T!!!

Combine that with some newfangled shit one of the new coordinators spouts off about and bada-boom-bada-bing we gonna win the motherfucking conference and make it to the final four!!!  Fuck yeah!

Season starts... everyone who said we’d drop one or two freaks the fuck out when we actually do. We finish better than most thought back in the Spring but way worse than most thought in August. The fans mostly hate life, call for Tom’s firing, he stays.  We win the bowl game against Miss St.

So, just like last season.

I think David Gbenda has a breakout season at middle linebacker behind one of the nations scariest defensive lines.

Every team on our schedule will gargle our balls.

10-2. We beat OU, lose to LSU and Okie Lite. Win the CCG and the Sugar Bowl.

Buttcheeks will be boldly and firmly pressed against multiple glass objects

Spencer Rattler gets "Bomared" in Dallas by Joseph Ossai.

Joshua Moore, Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington all improve and contribute under Dre Coleman.

Art Briles offers to help Jett Duffey find a soft landing spot.

Linebacker room will be a team bright spot by midseason.

The 100 yard landlord will collect a lot of rent in the four games he gets to play.

Bijan Robinson has enough carries and yards to best Ricky Williams' freshman rushing yardage total.

USC wins the Pac 12 south is my only actual bold CFB prediction at this point.

The funny thing is that they might have the talent to do that, keep them in coaching purgatory, get another horribad recruiting class, and really stock the team top-to-bottom with total scrubs. Kind of a late-Mack to early-Strong situation where the entire team is basically Oregon State level athletes.

Yeah this is where I think they're headed. I thought they'd win the south last year on talent alone. They finished one game out of first and smashed Utah in 2019, they just happened to have Oregon in the regular season and Utah didn't. They were still the best team in the P12 south (unbeaten in division) and are still the most talented team going into 2020.

Their recruiting was unfathomably bad this year - not just a small class but well below the caliber of prospect they usually take. It wasn't great the year before either, but at least it was a full class in terms of numbers and did include some good prospects. Those difficulties won't fully come home to roost this year and they're still going to be a better roster than every other P12 south team, top to bottom.

Now that I actually look at their schedule, they have both Oregon and Washington from the north again, back to back, in November. So they are probably going to have to run the table in the division again to get there. I think they can but I'll admit I didn't realize they're basically a lock for two conference losses out of the division. They are at a point where they can't just out talent those two anymore and they're sure not going to outcoach them.  They also have one guaranteed OOC loss vs Alabama as the opener and probably two with ND to end the year. Assuming a loss in the CCG and they're looking at an 8-6/9-5 type season with limited recruiting success. Even if they do make a change, the new coach will be fighting an uphill battle with the quality of the roster noticeably deteriorated. And if they don't, Helton isn't going to be able to change the recruiting narrative with a year like that because there will still be constant speculation on his job.

USC is fucked longer than people realize. Even Urban Meyer would need a year or two if he took over in 2021, because he just wouldn't have the roster to compete. In that sense, it's very much Texas circa mid-2010's.

- 4 regular-season losses (LSU, blOU, Iowa State, Okie Lite)

- Jake Smith puts up big numbers in the slot, while Whittington's injury issues continue

- Eagles becomes a Malcolm Williams on the outside - enough to prevent defenses from always doubling Smith and have the occasional big game when they do, but not a consistent threat.

- Bijan, Ingram, and Roschon put up big numbers on the ground. Probably at least one of them gets injured

- O-line improves in pass protection, and Sam has his best statistical season as a result.

- Defense suffers against LSU and blOU (particularly on the back end), and gives up the ghost in the final few games.

- We win our bowl game and Herman hangs on to his job despite dropping ISU and Okie Lite to end the year

- No Big 12 title game

11-3

Beat OU and LSU, lose to two teams we shouldn't + Big XII title game, and win the Sugar Bowl again against either Georgia or Florida.

The only regular season game we drop is at OSU in the finale.  We win the CCG and make the playoff.  We have a shocking win as an underdog, and win it all with a favorable matchup with Bama in the championship.

We have an improved running game with Bijan, Ingram, and Roschon spreading carries due to injuries.  Sam still gets more carries than I’d like in short yardage & goal line situations.  No one has 1,000 yards.

Eagles and Josh Moore lead the receivers, but no one tops 1,000 yds.

Special teams improve under Boulware.  Jamison breaks out in the return game.

CEO Tom meddles in the offense and we continue to turtle with late leads.  Yurcich has improved game plans / play calling otherwise.

Defense shows solid improvement with better tackling, containing outside runs, and press coverage.

My bold predictions for 2020 extend to recruiting, but not to the 2021 season.
