This is based on podcast episode called "The Living Room," carried most famously by radiolab.  It was presented as a "true" story, but that seems doubtful.  Interesting tale nonetheless.  

That was really good and added bonus of a The National song.

Excellent!  I see why it won the Oscar.

lulz.  that's pretty embarrassing if radiolab presented this as a true story.  real life doesn't unfold as a perfect fable.
