February 15, 20205 yr Just now, Goodman said: That's the older brother, the SS. The younger bro is an outfielder but was not very good, at least when I saw him in HS. When you said younger, I thought “grandson”. Didn’t know there were two. Sorry.
February 15, 20205 yr ^ Is it basically one camera behind HP like the Stanford broadcasts used to be?
February 15, 20205 yr Nice start. 5 XBH on 8 total is a positive sign. Hopefully much like the past few years, it's not a 1 game wonder.
February 15, 20205 yr This team through 1 game looks much better than what we fielded last year. Having a closer who throws strikes and is aggressive going after hitters is also great to see.

It wasn't until conference that the wheels completely fell off.

I thought we looked a little lucky last year. That luck sure went away. Still a bit early to commence fellating one another.
February 15, 20205 yr Last year was weird. We started out handicapped with Hamilton out but the team played with a lot of fire to start the season. But it's like they burned themselves out... and then more injuries... and it was just like we had zero gas left in the tank and the season was only halfway over. After that they just played demoralized for 6 weeks. A lot of that is on Pierce, but it was a damn weird season. Here's to having a more normal season.

We did not look pretty good. Everything went right for them until that point but we did not look good. Zubia was showing real struggles vs any decent pitcher, his at bats today were solid. Our approach at the plate was solid, we did not look lost on the bases or on defense. Our pitchers were throwing strikes and when they missed, it was not a circus behind the plate. This team carries itself different. Kenedy looked out of it today, we need him back to the confident beast he was last year. Edited February 15, 20205 yr by Goodman

We did seem to be the cardiac kids the first part of the season. The middle part of the schedule was brutal and it broke them. We won today and have not played a game sine May 17th of last year. Today was a great day.

February 15, 20205 yr Nice start to the season. Good to see some pop in the bats today from several players. Been awhile.
February 15, 20205 yr For anyone that went, how was getting tickets at the date? Should i just do that ahead of time?

February 15, 20205 yr It was a much sparser crowd than I though it would be last night. I guess horn fans don’t like the cold.
February 15, 20205 yr The addition of Tulo alone will win Pierce a handful of games they probably don't win years previous. His leadership, work ethic and mindset of the game is unreal. Edited February 15, 20205 yr by Blackcat00
February 15, 20205 yr I think baseball in general is somewhat of an exposed nerve in Houston these days.
