August 16, 20205 yr I watched the games today. Carlson has a beautiful swing. Hope he is as good as the hype.
August 16, 20205 yr Author I know the white Sox aren't world beaters but pretty good to do that today. I'm liking the look of Carlson. That one he pulled foul in the 2nd game would have gone forever.

August 30, 20205 yr There's no way a team can catch up from that game deficit. It's just too much work in too short a time frame. I don't blame MLB, but this year is fucked.

September 7, 20205 yr I haven't been able to watch much, but I am today. 15-12 since the Covid delay. 27 games in 23 days playing 0.556 ball. That's crazy. I give them credit,
September 9, 20205 yr Author And that carp would be at like .179 BA. I know its been a weird season but holy hell.
September 16, 20205 yr Author Waino blowing 89 mph fastballs past guys is nuts. What a gem from him in the 1st game.
September 17, 20205 yr Cards (0.489) are 0.001 behind Cincinnati (0.490) for 2nd place in the NL Central. With 13 games remaining to the Reds' 9, an 11-2 record would cement a playoff spot. Obviously, that's not going to happen, but it's at least as unlikely the Reds go 9-0. The two teams currently slotted for wild card spots (Philadelphia and San Francisco) have a little more cushion at 0.500 each. Milwaukee can top out at the same record as the Reds (0.567), assuming no rainouts. Pittsburgh is out of it. Cardinals have 5 games against the Brewers and 5 against Pittsburgh, along with 3 against the Royals. They couldn't ask for a much better path. The Brewers have 3 games against the Reds and the Royals, so there is plenty of opportunity there. In addition to those 3 against Milwaukee, the Reds have 3 each against the White Sox and the Twins, both of which are among the top 5 teams in the league. Could get interesting.

September 18, 20205 yr Author If you keep getting skull fucked by the worst team in baseball....maybe you're the worst team in baseball

September 18, 20205 yr This team's offense has been shitty for the last 3 years. It comes a no surprise to me that they can't hit now.
September 21, 20205 yr ohhh . . . 7-1 is all it takes to lock. LMAO. 5 games against the Brewers seems kinda big. Reds V Brewers this week will help shape the race.

September 21, 20205 yr It. Is. Happening. Well, except for the fact that we're an incredibly mediocre baseball team. But other than that, it's happening.

September 24, 20205 yr Stuck with him for another year too. One more year guaranteed and then the club options kick in.

September 27, 20205 yr Well, it's come down to this. A Giants loss seems to cement both wildcards coming out of the Central (Cardinals/Reds/Brewers). A Giants win could send the Cardinals back to Detroit for a makeup doubleheader, depending on how the 3 Central contenders games shake out. What a fucking year.
September 27, 20205 yr It’s real simple, win & you’re in. Quote The Brewers can clinch a postseason berth with a victory over the Cardinals. The Cardinals can clinch a postseason berth with a win over the Brewers. The Giants can clinch the No. 8 seed in the NL with a win over the Padres and a loss by the Brewers. The Phillies can claim the No. 8 seed with a win over the Rays and losses by the Giants and Brewers.

September 27, 20205 yr If I'm reading it right, the only way we don't get in is a loss today, then a doubleheader sweep by Detroit tomorrow.
September 27, 20205 yr Fucking hell... Yadi grounds into a triple play in the 8th, and now Carlson drops a 2-out fly ball in the 9th and Reyes walks the next guy on 4 pitches. They're trying to not win. Edited September 27, 20205 yr by Beau Vine
