Damn man, now I gotta go crank up Fade Into You and reminisce about the one that got away...

Man, that's a shame.  Really dug their stuff back in the day.

And Hope Sandoval.  So hot.

Some people who didn’t catch them when they were around originally may recognize this song from Rick and Morty

All of this.  I love Mazzy.  She Hangs Brightly is a great listen, front to back.

I didn't realize until like a year ago, that Mazzy Star wasn't the name of the chick singer.

My guess is this guy offed himself because he knew that his obituary would turn into a thread on how hot his bandmate was.

BTW, she still looks pretty good:

Damn, was really into their music as well back in the 90s or whatever it was.

I think the only way to properly honor David Roback is with a Hope Sandoval retrospective.

And just for the record, some good music.  I was in Denton at UNT (before transferring down to UT) when a friend who introduced me to a ton of good music played this for me, and I was hooked:

That's such a good song.

Back of my head is telling me they did a decent cover of wild horses

Front of your head knows that ain’t right, right?

Always loved Mazzy Starr/Hope Sandoval.  Them and the Cowboy Junkies were always 1a and 1b for sexin' music back in the day.  Those breathy female voices.....

That last one is better in a fuller shot:

Is it possible to be in love with a pair of pants? Asking for a friend. A friend named “Me.”

How shallow!   It’s what’s inside (those pants) that counts.

I can't imagine you'd look good in those pants. Stick with the cargo shorts.

Listening to “Ride it On” as I type this. I miss the 90s.

Good times, good times. Rice.

Looking back, I might have guessed that Mazzy Star preceded Cowboy Junkies and Lone Justice/Maria McKee.

At the time, I was more aware of the latter than the former.

Now I know theres a reason for that.
