I just purchased my two tickets for the winter Porsche Club raffle. The grand prize is a 2026 911 GTS. Second prize is a “regular” 911 Carrera. I have yet to win the raffle. They have two raffles each year and once they reach a certain level of tickets sold they add another car. Kinda cool, although it would be much cooler if I would win one of the cars.

BMW Owners used to do this and may still do it. Around 2001 I thought I had won an M5. They listed the first name and city. I had moved to Austin but they listed my first name and old city which caused me to jump around figuring out what city I listed for registration. Someone else in the old city got a nice car

I’m under no illusions that I will win. The raffle is only open to the club members so I have a better chance than in the PowerBall. I only buy two tickets for each raffle and figure if I am meant to win, I will win. If not, I won’t.

I've spent so much entering that damn raffle that I could've bought a set of GT3 RS wheels....

Bought a new Cadi escslade to tote the kids around.
I tried the lexus gx550, Infiniti qx80 and range rover.
Just couldnt get passed them being so small.
Its been great so far.
Hoping the 6.2 doesnt crater like the ‘24s and below.
Had to go to Central Houston Cadi to get it. Covert/Garlyn Shelton Cadi kept giving me the run around. Didvthecdeal online with CHC. Drove down and picked it up. In and out in under 5 minutes.
They do a ton of Rockets/Texans/Stros cars.

Damn would I love to have a 911. The 911 and 718 are 2 cars that don't ever lose much value. But just paying the taxes on winning one would likely be a lot more than the cost of the average new car.

W114 is the only real Mercedes.

They also give you $35,000 to help with the taxes

An old man (looks like Lute Olsen, except not dead) in my neighborhood has one of these (or some similar V12 of this era). He barely ever gets it above idle, at least whenever I've seen him, but it still sounds like magic whenever it passes by.

And my contribution:

I’m curious how much raffle tickets cost. Two gees?

The raffle closed the other day and in an e-mail from the Club it was said that they are up to four cars, with a possible fifth.
