May 8May 8 More pics. Here’s the inside of the car in case nobody has been inside if a Mustang in the last 2-3 years.
May 9May 9 I like how there is no crash safety rating on the 911. Like government ain’t get no 911 to crash into a wall.

May 9May 9 I like a lot about it but I am just not a fan of the non circular steering wheel For me, the steering wheel is fine. What I can’t get past is the dashboard just literally being a tacked on screen. I can understand digital gauges, but at least make them gauge shaped! The previous one was a lot better, IMO.
May 9May 9 The screens are a total pain in the ass and dangerous to use while driving too. The AC controls of my wife's XC 90 only being available on the screen makes me crazy. Maybe if the controls had a permanent location on the screen it would be better, but having to dig through a couple of menus while driving is horseshit.
May 9May 9 I love all three cars in my stable and plan to keep them forever, but if I ever have to (or decide to) replace one of them, I honestly don't think I'd buy anything any newer than 2016ish just to avoid anything with total touchscreenification. Fuck all that shit.
May 9May 9 The more recent Caddys have a) touchscreens b) buttons that do all the frequently used functions and c) the rotary dial/wheel thing for scrolling and selecting on-screen options. Pick your poison, but it's a decent way to do it. And yeah, I'm not sure I like replacing the gauge cluster with a free-standing screen. Edited May 9May 9 by TwiceHorn
May 9May 9 The amount of stuff they can do thru the screens is insane though. I was watching a vid on one of the RTR stangs, and all the line locks, hand brake sensitivity, launch control settings, everything is run thru that big as screen. I dont really like all the real estate it takes up but as much shit as they are running off of it, i understand. Good stuff starts about 12:00 in.

May 10May 10 The screens are actually easy to use. The a/c controls are always in the same spot on this car
May 24May 24 Posting here as the owner of new Kia carnival. Once the wife saw the features and convenience and Kia doin just enough to kinda mask the appearance it was a done deal. crazy shit to get the max trim level for less than a moderately used 3 row suv
May 24May 24 always thought carnival was the perfect name for a vehicle to haul around a traveling circus
May 25May 25 Go into some tricky / rocky / muddy spots yesterday. North Georgia is so pretty in the spring. Excellent time.

We already had to cut 2-3 threads off my studs so they didn't touch the back of the wheels, so i'm expecting something to go wrong when the time comes to take the spacers off lol BUT, this is why I like having buddies that own a shop. Let them deal with that if it comes up.

June 13Jun 13 The Ed / Doug / several others (including mine) birthday road trip bash has been a hoot. The beater bimmer is a surprisingly fun track car as well as being a solid road tripper. The a/c kinda barely works (especially in blazing sun) but it’s enough to make the 86 degree days tolerable. Some of the other cars are hilarious:
June 13Jun 13 Got to buy tires in Colombiana, AL After a morning here: Watching the fire truck try to drift was awesome.
June 13Jun 13 It got popped doing 120 mph on the way to Nashville yesterday. The cop just laughed and said “try to keep it under 90”. Crazy.
June 13Jun 13 Last night we were at a place that stores and services exotics as well as builds high dollar racing simulators: and because I know you boys love fat asses…
June 14Jun 14 Lane Museum in Nashville, drag strip where Feuerball managed to win two (thanks to me shrewdly negotiating car lengths and rolling starts), and then Tail of the Dragon. What a day. I dig this car. Getting its butt sniffed by the TT:
June 17Jun 17 Drove back to Ettlingen from St Tropez yesterday. It is not a bad drive as there are a couple ways to go to avoid traffic. The main issue is avoid Lyon, at all costs. The best way is to just go down, as we did last year, past Geneva and stay then in extreme eastern France but, Bettina gets car sick so the mountain roads are verboten. Just yesterday saw four Alpine 110s. They are fantastic little cars. Saw a lot of Porsche 911s this trip. There are a ton of the huge luxury SUVs down there and all around. Saw a Rolls Cullinan (sp) as a hotel shuttle in St Tropez. At the resort there was a brand new Lamborghini SUV. They are interesting. The roads down around that area are awesome, if your passenger does not get sick on the twisties. Our car was her husband’s Q7. I did 725km of the 970km yesterday because I wanted to get a bit of speed driving in Germany. Then, after we crossed the Rhine, we had two areas of road construction. I did still manage to do a decent amount of speed, 131 mph, for about 30 minutes. It was fun. This Ferrari was at the resort as we were packing up yesterday the color was a reddish-rust metallic. Very sharp. Thursday back to America 🇺🇸
