“I don’t want to fuck this 14-19 year old so she’s a bad actress”

Good take- she’s a really good actor and regardless of the fact that she’s not conventionally attractive the camera really likes her face, which is true for a lot of actors.*

Her problem is that what I’ve seen so far is bad dialogue and bad story telling.

* Quite a few film and TV actors have a real uncanny valley look that draws the camera but would be strange and unsettling in another context. I’ve been in a room with Olivia Wilde and the structure of her face is so unusual that she looks like she’s on a slightly different evolutionary path. Same thing with Austin Butler. Anna Kendrick looks extremely fragile, etc.
Neither are unattractive, per se, they just look sort of human-adjacent

Not related to TLOU, but I was in Milano when the fashion show was going on one year. Few times I ran into a small group of models in weird happenstance.

They stand way out and my thought was curious, a bit odd, definitely not that they were hot.

But I'm sure I'd fap to their videos.

isn't that kinda a big spoiler on how the cliffhanger ends up?

Season 3 (re)starts back up on Seattle Day 1, so this was already known

Not at all. The after credit feature told everyone next season is from Abby's perspective and the whole Seattle Day 1 with her at the Seahawks stadium.

Fair points. I don't watch aftershows or previews.

The end of the actual episode made it clear the story would be starting back at SEATTLE Day 1 from Abby's perspective.

Well obviously, but now calling her "the lead" certainly seemed to suggest one specific outcome to the cliffhanger.

Not really. She’s the lead for S3, which covers a timeline prior to the “cliffhanger”.

Maybe they'll stop it there.

Pretty sure I've read somewhere that four seasons in total are planned, which I assume means we'll end season 3 at the shooting cliffhanger from Abby's perspective and season 4 is the aftermath, whatever that might be.

Hopefully the first few episodes will cover the trip back to Wyoming and then the rest of the episodes will cover the debate between chickens and turkeys and other farming issues.

I could see that first part working pretty well by giving us a chance to get some history about the beef between the cult people and the wolves, like us seeing how they kill the cultists Abby and Ellie stumble upon during their trek. And, then a better perspective with seeing some of their simmering war in Seattle before the final shooting scene.

Quail and ducks. You forgot quail and ducks.

They missed on not recasting Ellie after season 1(which she was fine for that part of the story)

A young Meryl Streep could be Ellie and it would not make a difference. She’s horribly written

Maybe someone can ask Neil how a fucking 30 foot tsunami could form in Puget Sound just from a thunderstorm... cause that is information I would love to know

Guess it was in the video game. Cant diverge from canon.

One thing I gathered from those post-episode vidocs is Neil Druckman insists upon himself.

There is speculation that the final portion will be spread over two seasons. Come the fuck on.

Outstanding lead actress in a drama series

  • Kathy Bates, "Matlock"
  • Sharon Horgan, "Bad Sisters"
  • Britt Lower, "Severance"
  • Bella Ramsey, "The Last of Us"
  • Keri Russell, "The Diplomat"
