I can't see us making it now.  we are done.  we will likely lose the opening round game in the big 12.  we've reverted to the mean and the next game will be part of that.

I’m for any scenario that ends with a new coach.

Why in the hell are people still in the arena?  There can't be that many parents there.

Hilarious they lose their bid at home to the worst big 12 team in blowout fashion like they are playing Kansas

Shaka gone though.

OSU isn't the worst Big 12 team.  Iowa State and Kstate have worse records in overall and conference.

ISU also lost what was a top 3 most valuable player in the conference to injury

With 4 minutes left and down 23, you walk it up and run over 30 seconds off the clock before shooting. That’s Mensa-level stuff, fellas.

Hepa and Hamm look like the only two on the bench that seem upset.

That would make sense since we're only able to have 3 scholarship players on the bench at a time

Shaka must have signed an extension or a new contract with another school after the last game. That's the only explanation I have for this abomination.

#216

At home... playing for a tournament bid ... and trying to save a coaches job and that’s the product placed on the court ... poorly motivated ... poorly prepared .., and decided only to shoot threes the instant they fell down by 7 points ... piss ass poor

The whole team stands there flat-footed and watches a back door lob for a dunk.  No one tried to put a body on the cutter, because no one knew he was there.  No one was within five feet of the passer, because why would they be?

And Shaka's a defensive coach, y'all.

Ok....I feel better now.

4th time this year with the 20 point bench emptying by the opponent.  fucking embarrassing.  Shaka should take all the blame post game.

It would be so Shaka for Texas to lose today, just when our hopes for an NCAA Tournament bid have renewed life. Plus, Okie Lite is scrappy and not playing nearly as poorly as it was when the teams first met in mid-January.

On one hand, I feel like Nostra-fucking-damus. On the other, very disappointed with the overall effort from the kids.

You can't always control shots and bounces. Sometimes, the other team can't miss no matter how good the D. But you can control effort, and right from jump, it didn't seem to be there.

Still, no way I thought this team would finish 9-9 in league play after watching the first few games of the season, so credit given.

And congrats to the Cowboys on a solid win. You guys dominated. Bodes well for next year if y'all can stay healthy.

OSU lost Likele for several games to mono and then it took several more weeks before he was playing at full strength again.  That all coincided with the huge stretch of losses they had in the middle of the season.  This was almost an 8 week stretch.

not only did we lose we got blown the fuck out and were never competitive. this is what happens when we revert to our mean and the other team is on fire.  THIS is typical Shaka not the last 5 games.

To make a football analogy from way back, this is kind of like the freedom bowl massacre...if you didn’t know for sure about the coaches future before the game, you certainly knew after the game....problem was coach Akers lasted 2 more seasons after the massacre.  Everybody in Austin knew Akers had lost the team after that debacle.....

....the big difference here is the margin of victory in today’s game did not completely reflect the fact this game was over at halftime, and this loss is only the 3rd or 4th worse loss this year.

This is an easy decision for cdc, or should be.

#236

You had one job Shaka, beat arguably the worst current team in the conference at home to close out the season and get yourself a bid to the big dance which probably saves your job.  And of course you fucked it up.

You have a very unique penchant for screwing up the most basic of tasks.

you are one of the 10 highest paid coach is in college basketball yet you screw up everything when the slightest goal is on the line.  You are a fucking embarrassment and I take pity on you

but congratulations you get to play in the Erwin Center again because you’re going to the NIT.   Which is obviously what you said as a goal for yourself when you set out to rob us blind five years ago

Yeah he's given each of his revenue coaches (none of which he hired) one year's bad season of rope. Now time to see if he'll hang them with it if they screw up again like Shaka has.

Welp, let's see if Texas can defend their NIT crown.  They're prolly what, a 1 or 2 seed at worst?  OSU out beat Texas on both sides of the court while Texas just struggled.

#239

this is what happens when your coach is all millenial pablum and soft as a baby powder.  I can't believe we let this scam artist pussy coach our team for 5 years.

Okie Lite is NOT "arguably the worst current team in the B12".  Okie Lite might be one of the hottest B12 teams in last 10 games (Okie Lite 7-3).

Texas is 5-5 over their last 10 B12 games.

his team didn't even play particularly hard today, with everything that was on the line. coach's job on the line, ncaa tourney bid on the line, an outright finish of 3rd place in the league on the line, you had a good crowd, plenty of alumni in the house, annnnnd we flopped. no energy, no drive, no passion. the man's got to go. he has got to go.

And Okie Lite's last 3 losses:

  • At Baylor
  • At West Virginia
  • At Kansas

Epic Failure by Shakablah... 100% his fault

The worst Texas basketball team I’ve ever seen in person. Took my dad today to his first game this year and believed we would take the momentum from the OU win and roll Okie.

Complete opposite. We looked like a DIII team at best. And that’s where ShakaCon needs to take his shit show.

Congrats to Okie State...they looked like they wanted a tourney bid a helluva lot more than we did.

CDC...your move. Don’t disappoint us.

This would be easier to accept if it happened on the road but at home with what was on the line.  Torbush.
