That doesn’t mean a marquee OOC opponent wants to come to a shoebox, and definitely doesn’t mean that TV wants a game in a HS stadium. It’ll be at Jerry World.

Y'all are so fucking aggy it's ridiculous. No one is worried about that game not being at Ford but fucking TCU fans. Believe it or not - SMU and TCU are separate schools with separate agendas and different scheduling. Keep citing some Jerryworld shit from 10 years ago that no one gaf about. LSU will either play at Ford or they won't play us at all and have to write a fat check. SMU isn't getting hoodwinked by some backwater fucking institution in the most corrupt state in the country. Grow up.

Money helps a great deal, but actually showing you can develop a quarterback who can throw the ball down the field plays a part as well. Seriously, OU has fucked up the quarterback situation the last two years and kids notice that shit. Edited May 19May 19 by PGFrog

This is what people miss, at one time SMU, TCU, and RIce drew very large crowds, even when they weren't great and then pro football came to town. Granted, we and Rice fucked ourselves for several years with our attitude towards football while SMU was willing to try to win. The thing is the crowds went away and just for the record, all 8M in the metroplex aren't tied to SMU.

July 22Jul 22 Look at ole Rhett spreading his wings in the ACC, lulz. Quote Lashlee took his SEC grudge to new levels Tuesday during an appearance at the 2025 ACC Media Days in Charlotte when he called into question the SEC’s depth as a conference. “The SEC has had the same six schools win the championship since 1964. Not a single one has been different since 1964,” Lashlee said, according to Ben Portnoy of the Sports Business Journal. “That’s top-heavy to me. That’s not depth.” Maybe if he can take some time away from packing sand in his bloody twat, he can list the myriad of ACC teams that have won national championships over the same period. It must be 7 or 8 right?

Pitt and Miami weren't in the ACC at the time they won their championships, so if he's gonna count those, he should also count Texas and OU in the SEC tally ( so 8 of 16 teams). I'm still not sure what his point was other than proving he's a moron.

July 23Jul 23 He kinda has a point: NEW: SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee takes shot at the SEC in defense of strength of ACC: “The SEC has had the same six schools win the championship since 1964. Not a single one has been different since 1964. That’s top-heavy to me. That’s not depth.”

July 24Jul 24 I guess Rhett didn't want to talk shit about the Big 10 since he's still putting salve on his ass from the beating Penn State gave him.

August 28Aug 28 Pretty good read. https://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-magazine/2025/august/jennings-smu-mustangs-south-oak-cliff/
August 28Aug 28 Good stuff. We sat by his whole family at the BC game last year. It was highly entertaining.
August 31Aug 31 Just gonna be straight up. We look like fucking trash and Jennings appears to have learned nothing from last season. I think this is an 8-4, 7-5 type year that we need to take in stride and reassess after. I like Rhett - hang on to him but give him an opportunity to rebuild this shit. Fuck me. Maybe I feel different post Baylor.
August 31Aug 31 We led the nation in penalties last season and seem to be continuing that plus Jennings brain fart turnovers will doom us a few times.

Maybe I feel different post Baylor. Was at the game last night reppin my undergrad alma mater East Texas and I'm surprised our defense was able to force multiple turnovers and rattled Jennings. Offense was trash, but defense was decent. SMU was a 49.5 favorite and we easily covered the spread which is a shock to me. Jennings looked like he didn't know what he was doing half the time. Oh well, maybe the Mustangs were playing conservative so Baylor won't have much film on them and they knew that East Texas had no chance to win.
September 6Sep 6 Really bad loss. Not sure this team is very good. Which is unfortunate because we have a very good QB.

September 6Sep 6 Ponies took the L today so they’d avoid a spotlight game when they play daddy in 2 weeks
