I voted 400k-499k. I might be right there with you soon. Aw, I made myself sad.

After a week where he backed off of Easter, he's now contemplating an exemption to allow church service.

Going to be a rough week. Mr. Rogers always said, "Look for the helpers." They are out there and they are the best of America right now. Keep helping each other.

Sorry, you posted while I was typing. I saw this during the press briefing. I would hope that his spiritual advisor, Paula White, is not pushing for this. If she is, then she can go sit down now, or better yet, get down on her knees and pray for forgiveness.

whomever wins the dem primary will only need to run on one thing: the death count from this.

A week from the day the country would be free of restrictions to shelter in place, etc. Being Sunday, I'm not sure  how accurate the JHU data is, but it's what I've been using for consistency.

Well I will be honest, when I picked a million plus just over 3 weeks ago, I made one fatal error in my calculations.  I honestly did not think that we would still be testing so few people, I stupidly believed the current administration had some degree of competence and testing would have been exponentially ramped up.

this was a on March 10th a month ago:

Quote
"Over a million tests have been distributed," Pence said, and "before the end of this week, another 4 million tests will be distributed.".

Unless I am mistaken we have not even tested 1 million people yet, much less the 6 million tests that were supposed to be available weeks ago.  I should have chosen more wisely knowing the depth and breadth of incompetence. We should be ramped up to 200-250K tests a day now.  Sadly the reason I won't be accurate in my 1 million+ prediction, is the same reason we are going to be twiddling our thumbs trying to open the economy back up.

They did achieve the million test administered milestone during the last week in March. That isn't a million positives, but they have administered that many tests, about two plus weeks after Pence made the announcement. I was cynical and put around 600,000 positive cases as it seemed they were only testing the sickest people (at least here in Texas) so if that was occurring elsewhere, then I assumed it might slowly creep up to that by Easter. Three weeks after most people had concluded their spring travel and returned to spread the virus.

oops meant to say we haven't even tested 2 million, much less 5 million.  Still breaking the 1 million mark three months into the battle is not a gold star moment, no matter how great Trump tells you he is doing.

If they test and collect data, it makes him look bad. Bad for ratings, you know.

They still are only testing the sickest people. My friend is going in for her test today, but had to get approval first.

my guess was up to 500k. It looks like it might be there or higher by easter. ugh

Republican talking point. We meant to predict the causality rate so Trump beat expectations / Republican talking point

A couple points of clarification before we call the number.  Julian or Gregorian calendar?  Midnight mass or end of day, which under normal circumstances would be after you pass from gorging on lamb and keg beer?

Easily over a million if testing was where Dotard said it would be.  Zero question.
