June 10, 20214 yr The Mick Foley one was great. What a good man. I hope his body and mind allow him to continue to stay sharp because he brings about a lot of good in this world.
June 10, 20214 yr Am I in the future or are you guys far behind because I haven’t seen anyone talk about the Bret Hart one last week. It was also good like the rest. Man he looks old though.
June 11, 20214 yr I was pretty much over wrestling by the Ultimate Warrior era, but I will say during the last 20 minutes of the Biography show, it got mighty dusty in my house. It seemed to paint a much more complex picture of the man than the Dark Side of the Ring episode. Sad that he died as soon as he found his best life.
June 11, 20214 yr Author Grizzly Smith was giant piece of shit that has led to tragic lives of all his children. Just devastation that continues to haunt him. No telling how many victims he had on the road. Just stopping along the way and picking up random 14 year old girls for the weekend. What's even more fucked up is the parents that would willingly let them go with him. He groomed the parents as well as the kids. Last night's on the Dynamite Kid was really good. I wasn't as familiar with him since he was before my time. A lot of parallels between between he and Benoit are remarkable.
June 12, 20214 yr Man, this Dark Side of the Ring is incredible. Watching the Montreal Screw Job. Holy shit.

The Chyna deal was pretty good but just plain sad. She really spiraled downward pretty quickly. Anybody watching the WWE lost treasures shows that are on A&E where they try and find old collectibles from the wrestlers? Last nights was a Ric Flair episode and it was really good as they show a lot of stuff from Ric’s whole career. One thing I learned was that Conrad guy that did the interviews on Dark Side of the Ring Confidentials is married to Ric Flairs daughter. He is the big heavy guy with the beard that interviews the two guys that make Dark Side. I never knew who he was but apparently he is a huge wrestling collector and also part of the Flair family. It seems he out kicked his coverage with marrying her.
June 22, 20214 yr So basically Triple H fucked her, lived with her and did massive amounts of drugs with her but believed putting her in the WWE hall of fame would trouble the kids he had with the daughter of the CEO of the WWE because she did some porn. Did I get that right?

July 19, 20214 yr Hopefully, next season they’ll cover Stan Lane and the allegations that he’s the illegitimate father of congresswoman Lauren Boebert.
July 20, 20214 yr Just got around the watching the Chyna show. It was not the most uplifting show that I've watched to say the least. Is it just me or is Stephanie McMahon beginning to resemble Chyna?

August 23, 20214 yr Anyone catch Dark Side of the '90s last Thursday on Baywatch? Pretty fun trip down memory lane. Lot of later fuckups in that cast.

About an small time Indie promotion in Georgia and the family who runs it? 3 episodes so far.

Interesting looking at a family business/indy wrestling deal in small town Georgia.

October 1, 20223 yr Tuesday at 9, first episode covers Memphis. I gotta watch. We moved to Memphis in 71 when the wrestling scene was basically the Saturday morning studio show and the primary guys were Jackie Fargo, Don and Al Green, and the heels were the usual collection of Nazis, Japanese, and communists. Jerry Lawler came around about 73 as a heel but soon flipped. Everyone watched it. In college we’d go to the matches on Monday nights sometimes to cheer for the heels, and I got to know Tojo Yamamoto and Professor Tanaka as they ate at this little burger joint I frequented. One a hero, Tojo a face, they were good friends and had lots of stories. The whole Lawler-Andy Kaufman story ring was masterful to watch as it played out. Is that real? Did Jerry just knock the shit out of him on letterman? Is it all a bit?My Maytag rep was a wrestling referee during that period. He stayed for when the started getting involved with the hidden razor blades and bleeding but quit when they wanted to start hitting him with folding chairs and other shit.
