October 6, 20241 yr I never was a fan of renaming the stadium DKR... No need to put one man's name above the many that died in WWI. A statue yes, renaming the stadium, no.
October 6, 20241 yr Isn’t the ‘Memorial’ part now specific to anyone who died in combat, regardless of when? I fully realize that it was originally dedicated to casualties during WW1, but at some point prior to adding DKR’s name didn’t that change ‘officially’?

I'd heard the term "reimagine" used when discussing restoration and I had no idea what that meant... Glad to know it's basically just facelifting an otherwise perfect-as-it-is iconic building. They better not pave over the bullet holes in the observation deck....

It is.. and not just when, but any American, not just Texan. It was done to satisfy those who didn't want one man's name on the stadium.

UT probably does not get enough time in the Moody Center. Someone else paid for it and UT is only guaranteed a certain number of dates. I think Texas gets about 60 days a year. Plus it gives UT and Austin a second smaller site for shows.

December 11Dec 11 Thought this bump was going to be about going back to natural grass at DKR, that is happening this year, right?
