Good for D’onta. O’Brien is a douche flood. I hope this comes back and bites him hard (assuming O’Brien is around for it). I’ll admit I am a Texans fan (not a rabid one, however, as I am luke warm on NFL anyway), but O’Brien is the wrong guy to drive that bus while  they have a nice window of talent on the roster.

You're a "Texans fan", but want a player who got fat, showed up to meetings late, and refused to play in special teams to come back and bite them in the ass?

Okay, sure. You sound like the other Cowboy fan titty babies in this thread.

Hits close to home. Back in the day, I bought a Maserati QuattroPorte - you know, family style - and it was very good friends with the shop for the whole four months I kept it. Very good friends.

I lost my license....now I don't drive

Woulda liked the cowboys to grab him for zeke insurance....but colts are a good landing spot

Why? It seems like he doesnt care. Dont want him on the cowboys. That's a roster spot not needed. Let him jam up the colts.

Because if zeke holds out i would rather see what foreman has instead of alfred freaking morris....but ship has sailed

Is this true? Why?  He isn’t one of those lifetime NFL guys.  He kind of bounced around in college roles until the Pats gig.

Some reputations are neither earned nor deserved.

Seems they cut an aggy/sooner (keith ford, whom they signed a week ago, lol) to make room for Donta

I could tell a good Keith Ford story but I probably shouldn’t.

Let’s just say this.

When he’s up against the boys in blue, he’s better than Baker Mayfield. A lot better.

The problem is his first name sets him up for failure.  Needs to change it to D'oesa.

I'll be surprised if he makes the Colt roster. RBs buried on the depth chart better be contributing on ST if they want to make the 53.

Well hopefully he's learned his lesson about working hard on his rehab.

Questionable if he even gets another shot. This sucks.

You probably should,  actually...

Re: Being placed on IR

This is better than when he was waived by the Texans

Damn.  That sucks.

This is MUCH BETTER than being cut.

1st- He’s getting paid to rehab.

2nd- It means that the Colts think that he can contribute.

Good for D’onta!

What are you talking about?! Guys with his size and speed will keep getting called back!

I don’t believe they can cut you in preseason or in-season for being injured if you passed a physical before camp/signing, per last collective bargaining agreement. He came in, got hurt per Colts doctors, gets his one year salary guaranteed.

He needs to prove that he can catch the ball out of the backfield. In today’s NFL, that’s a must. He never really did it at Texas, and because of that, he was labeled as a guy who can’t do it. I don’t know if he can do it consistently or not, but he has that label right now, among other things.

Assuming he still has that speed.  What's his current speed after tearing his Achilles and being cut for not working hard in rehab?

Also, a few analysts said his pass protection was amongst the worst they’d ever seen at RB. Not a lot of improvement since. For a guy of his size, that screams lack of effort and lack of attention to detail.

That sucks for D’Onta. Best of luck

Did his father blame Texas yet?

When was the last time a doak walker winner made it less than 2 years in the nfl

Did Trent Richardson win it?

Lesson should be shared with other young pros. He didn't take rehab seriously. If he had he very well may be the #1 back for the Texans for this entire season with Miller's injury. He wouldn't have been in Indianapolis to tear his bicep

Perhaps even a greater lesson for young athletes - carrying too much weight in a skill position puts you at higher risk of tissue damage.

Know your job, do your job, keep your attitude in check.

Good luck.  Next year he'll most likely get a camp deal.  Hopefully he's been humbled because his career in the NFL is on life support.

he looked to be in pretty damn good shape in all the workout videos he was posting all spring and summer:

^^^^ i mean that motherfucker is a beast. i was pretty shocked to hear accusations of him having a questionable work ethic.

At least the hat looks homemade

Big Red Peach is the most expensive drug on the planet ?

who knew. i hope he has back up career plan. maybe he'll get one more camp invite

People brew up lean with peach soda?

Is that outfit supposed to evoke prison khakis?

Edited by TwiceHorn

Just thinking about him during the game last night.  2000 yards season was unreal (at least his part was.  Rest was garbage).  Hope he gets healthy and a chance to play again.

I’m going to give him the benefit of doubt; maybe he bought all that shit at costco and just plans to bring it back using their generous return policy.

.....But I will have to see this hat,

2,290,540‬ career earnings (per the internet) for doing absolutely nothing. you figure half to taxes, about $1mil in the bank ?

Saved money on the flooring, at least

But he has ornate trim.
