Looking for something other than Cards Against Humanity (CAH) to play online with other adults. CAH is fun the first few times, but it gets a bit old playing with the same group.

For those that want to play CAH with some friends...

It works best if everyone has 2 devices or two monitors. One with a webcam and one to play the game on.

Setup a Zoom meeting for audio/video

Go to https://www.playingcards.io and click on Remote Insensivity (CAH is copyrighted, it is the same game)

Jackbox games are great. I’m hosting a game night tonight, and we will use several different party packs. Host has to share the screen, but participants just need one screen for the zoom call, and a phone to interact with the game.

We’ve played Settlers of Catan using the iOS app. Each player has to install the app and play from their own device. We then use FaceTime to communicate while playing.

We’ve also played Pandemic through Steam. One person has to host from a laptop and then screen share through Zoom. For those not familiar with the game, it’s a collaborative game where 3-4 people play together against the game, so it works well like this. And it’s fitting for the times.

My kids and I are playing card games with the grandparents, mainly cribbage. But it involves someone on our end holding the cards up to a webcam so the grandparents can see. But mainly it's an excuse to hang with them.

Geeks Who Drink are doing a live twitch stream on Tuesdays. We put that on the TV and then do a zoom hangout with friends to answer the questions.

Usually play golf on the ps4 with a couple of friends. Just finished playing poker with 6 or 7 tonight. Poker stars has a home game option. Then have zoom in the background. As close as it gets to normalcy these days.

Holdem with some friends the other night on Pokerface app for first time.

Yup. We like drawful - good with adults and older kids.

I may just eliminate the games and go straight to the drinking. This has the added bonus of getting everyone’s wife off of the call faster.

Drinking tends to help with that.
