Not sure what to do to fix this. I think the quickest solution, though temporary, would be to get some glue/epoxy and stick the rubber seal back in the hinge sleeve. Long term I'd probably need a new shower installed, as the job the building crew did doesn't look like the best.

anyone know what I'd use to just put the glass and seal back in there? some kind of epoxy?

Shower curtain bro while you wait for a replacement...  That's how this is going to end up.   Save time trying a temp fix.

Was the glass held in the frame with an epoxy or a flexible caulk ?

honestly it doesn't look like anything was holding it in there, just the ridges on the hinge and rubber seal, that may be why it came out. It held up for 8 years, but hadn't been even with the rest of the frame for most of the 8 years

Are shower doors still a thing? In the videos I watch all day, there's never a shower door there when the guy walks in on his sister's college roommate.

if posting pictures on the internets is any indication of your DIY prowess, your family is fucked.

Woah. That shower/bathroom looks like the exact setup I have. The shower door looks identical, and I had this happen to me last year. There’s a little piece at the top and bottom of the door on the hinge side. Mine had corroded so much, I could barely even tell they were there. Got lucky finding the parts at a little shop in east austin, but it was the last one he had. Said they didn’t make em anymore

You’ll need to remove that piece that’s still in the frame (the one that is the “hinge”). Just a couple screws on the inside of the shower. No epoxy or anything, just those pieces at the top and bottom that connect the hinge to the door.

Actually found the picture of mine. Looks like a slightly different model of door, but the general design is the same. It’s that light grey plastic piece on the ends52d3f106f39f026b31a667e407df8240.jpg

That would be carpet in my closet. I’m not in the habit of laying sheets of glass on a tile floor
