Because Chad Jr. is understandably going nuts cooped up with his rents and not being able to do recess with his school buddies, Mrs. F thought it would be a good idea to get him a moderate sized inflatable pool get him outside and burn some energy. So far so good.

But this thing does take a significant amount more water than your typical kiddie pool. Is there any way to keep the water clean (smaller chlorine tablets or the like) so I don’t have to empty/refill it every few days?

Or am I just better off dumping refilling?

Definitely with something that small dump and refill.  It would take about teaspoon of bleach to chlorinate it but it would be easy to overdo it.

The pee should kill any germs

Jr. pees in the yard, as all free born men should.

This is what I figured. But I’d also figured there was some Surly bastard as cheap as I am who’d figured out a work around.

Wtf is with the power lines 2 ft above your fence?

The fuck should I know? Ask the fine folks at TXU or whatever it’s called now.

Actually, is perspective. There’s a slight down slope to the yard and if you’re standing in the alley on the other side of that fence, they appear “normal” height.

That’s not an electric line, dear.

Good luck folding it and trying to get it back in the box.

Every fathers’ nightmare.

You’re going to want to move that every day or two unless you want a nice yellow spot in your lawn.

It was discussed. Sacrifices must be made for the sanity of all involved.

One time use. Trash and hope they forget about it.

We have one out where we hunt. The well water is always cold so after working during spring and summer the pool is a welcome relief. We tried to get I back in the box once.

Hooooowwwwdy neighbor!

Get a bucket and use some of the water on your outside plants before you dump the rest of it.  We did that and like the pee apparently.

Dump a whole jug of bleach in there every day.  When your kid inevitably swallows some pool water, it will also kill the corona.

It’s true. A stable genius told me so.

I like my pools like I like my women. Inflatable and easy to disinfect. Wait, what was the question?

Did that. Then went fishing.

It was a great day.

I’m pretty sure they make a small pump and filter type set up you can use for that. Get one and rig it up. Or flush the water every couple of weeks.
