We might be struggling at the other offensive positions, but QB and TE are doing just fine.

Glad to see a lifetime Longhorn fan with some big offers (Bama, UGA, Auburn, Oregon, Penn State, aggy (lulz)) in the boat.

How he fits at Texas: Atascocita got a ton of usage out of Landen King in his junior year, essentially deploying him like Texas did with Andrew Beck and Lil’Jordan Humphrey in 2018. They’d motion him into the box to block from a H-back or tight end alignment but they’d also flex him wide where he caught 53 balls for 815 yards and nine touchdowns. He never seems to be moving very fast but he has an outstanding feel for route running and getting open. He also has the hands and body control to bring the ball in when quarterbacks gets their sights on King’s 6-foot-5 frame. He’s 210 pounds now and his ceiling will come when he fills out to 240+ so his hands and feel for getting open can be paired with effective blocking. King isn’t explosive but he’s a really good fit for the kind of versatile tight end that Texas needs to tie together their offense. – Ian Boyd

Hookem!  We’ve come a long way from having no TEs under the Strong era.

6’5 that’s a big boy. Add a few he will be nice

This is great! The exact type we need, a guy that can get big to block but has elite hands to be a threat catching the ball. Defensive stressor

There were tight ends. They just weren't playing tight end.

Shit. Now I'm gonna be looking at this all day. Smh

Pass Catching Tight End? What a concept? Can't wait to see second and goal from about the three with him.

This may be better for all day viewing...someone posted it here a while back and I've had it bookmarked ever since:

Sorry, what was the topic of this thread again?

Really weird considering all of the recruiting he was doing on behalf of UT.

I'm going to live in the world that bigger fish about to be landed... just don't throw water on my thinking... it's my world.. I'm still trying to convince myself
