I'd love to see someone try that in our field. Last I'd heard, the results have been poor at using ground penetrating anything to find fossils. I definitely think it has potential in the future, especially as the price point drops. Our budgets are so low, we're stuck on close to free. 

Satellite imagery is a big help in finding new field sites though. I used it at my last site extensively to decide where to go prospect for new fossils.

How are you using Satellite imagery?   I have not kept up with GPR techology advancements, but part of the ability to find low contrasting targets is the depositional discontinuity.  I'll reach out to a guy who used it in some research to see if he has any more info.

you guys need to start your own nerd thread on this shit.  I keep thinking there are developments in this case. 

Us simpletons just stick to true crime.
