December 19, 20205 yr 101-80 final. Drake shot 50%. Vic is gonna kill them Ebo’s first game - 14 and 7 on 6-9 shooting
December 19, 20205 yr Women’s head Coach for drake. Jennie is nice Edited December 19, 20205 yr by Hammerhead

December 22, 20205 yr Warren getting checked out for concussion symptoms. Seems like this has happened multiple times this season already
December 22, 20205 yr Turnover city in Manhatten. Typical UT v. KSTATE game I guess. 33-21 Texas at halftime. We're shooting poorly but I love our full court defense
December 22, 20205 yr Author Dang sloppy 2nd half so far -- 22pt TEXAS lead has shrunk to only 8pts with just under 8 minutes left in 4th quarter. Some poor execution on offensive end... Good timeout by Vic -- Collier needs to step up with the K-State starting center already fouling out.
December 22, 20205 yr Author Lead down to 5pts -- then TEXAS with 6pt run. 58-47 with 3 minutes remaining
December 22, 20205 yr Author K-State zone defense hurt Longhorns in 2nd half. TEXAS defense better late, creating 3 straight turnovers and HORNS have this one sewn up... 62-52 Final TEXAS forced 34 k-state turnovers
December 22, 20205 yr Texas was up by 22 and KSTAT cut the lead to 5. Texas wins by 10. Our defense and ability to force 34 turnovers on KSTATE was the difference

December 22, 20205 yr Author Texas Women's Basketball Postgame Press Conference vs Kansas State [Dec. 21, 2020]
December 22, 20205 yr I don't know if I've ever seen a team get ever 60% of their points from turnovers. Nice to see some hustle and great defense, but the offense has to step up if this team really expects to finish 2nd in the B12. Celeste needs to get back and the outside shooting for all must improve.
December 23, 20205 yr It is so refreshing to see a coach be upbeat after a win and excited for the players like Coach Vic is, compared to the dour mess Aston was. Night and day.
December 28, 20204 yr That's nice respect. Vic also got Coach of the Week by ESPNW (idk why, all we did was barely beat KSU, lol)
December 30, 20204 yr Covid may have been the excuse but SMU was 0-6. Covid simply allowed SMU to cancel their season
December 30, 20204 yr I predict we won’t play 18 conference games and there won’t be a conference tournament. The regular season champ will get the autobid to the 32 team tournament, all of which will take place in San Antonio. They’ll just cut down on at large teams and eliminate an entire round.

I’m not hearing they are cutting the teams down. They’ll be using multiple sites though. I’ve been lucky. None of my games have been cancelled. My D1 boss sent me my January schedule a few weeks ago. I think the first few weeks will get postponed all over the place but because those are conference games, they’ll get made up even if it means doing a back-to-back the next time those teams play.

They are still deciding venues. They cannot just do 1 arena. That wouldn't be possible. Quote In its announcement, the committee said it was still finalizing dates and venues, but that it was in preliminary talks with officials in the area surrounding San Antonio
December 31, 20204 yr SA could have at least 4 good sites. Alamodome, UIW's arena, UTSA's arena, and probably Freeman Coliseum. Trinity's basketball arena is quite small but thats a 5th site if needed (and if fans aren't allowed seating doesn't matter anyways)
January 3, 20214 yr 36-33 Texas at halftime. We've given up a lot of layups on defense due to missed assignments. We need to continue to feed Collier even though she's struggling and getting double teamed.

January 3, 20214 yr Way better 3rd quarter. Vic’s halftime adjustments make me so horny. 60-49 after 3
January 3, 20214 yr I didn’t realize we had no Ebo or Warren today. Celeste’s first game back in 3 games.
January 3, 20214 yr I knew we were short handed but I didn't know who was out. Warren needs some games off during the season anyway, and we're used to being without Ebo. Edited January 3, 20214 yr by perfectchaos007
January 3, 20214 yr Shorthanded with Collier struggling and Celeste shaking off rust = solid 15 point win. 2-0 in conf play WV on Saturday in MoTown
January 3, 20214 yr WVU is going to be tough. They were the only Big 12 team with a win in that Big 12/SEC challenge when they beat Tennessee.

January 3, 20214 yr Typical Coach Vic win, and will only get better when his recruiting kicks in. After only half a season, the team fundamentals improvement is encouraging.

Good things: Halftime adjustments and great 3rd Q Kept ISU under 40% shooting Won the rebounding battle All 5 starters scored double digits 9/20 on threes 16 assists on 28 made baskets Bad things: Didn't shoot well overall - lots of missed layups 15 turnovers 50% from FT line
January 3, 20214 yr 26 minutes ago, ClubWhatever said: What’s wrong with Ebo? Unfortunately it was just (undisclosed reasons) as opposed to an injury
January 4, 20214 yr True. Gaston will have to grow up fast in Big 12 play until Ebo is back. There’s no nights off in the post Edited January 4, 20214 yr by Js1
