The guy currently running for a State Board of Education seat?  Who made it into a runoff in the Republican primary that's currently going on?

I'm actually surprised he hasn't endorsed the subject of this thread.  Maybe he did, but twitter banned him, so who knows.

He hasn’t endorsed her (yet), but he does frequently “like” her tweets including the one announcing the Leffingwell endorsement and this recent one here...

Morrow’s Twitter is an interesting mix of conspiracy theories (Trump-Clinton-Epstein pedo ring!) and soft core porn with a little bit of libertarianism sprinkled in. I’ve wondered if this is a parody account, but I think it’s actually Morrow.  Here’s a tweet from this evening.

Looks like the Austin Monitor called Leffingwell and asked him if it was true.

https://www.austinmonitor.com/stories/whispers/leffingwell-endorses-flannigan-opponent-kelly/

“I was asked to endorse her,” Leffingwell said, by “some police friends of mine, retired policemen. I’ve always been a supporter of police and full funding of the police. I’ve got to support the candidate who supports the APD.” Leffingwell, who now lives in Hays County, said he is concerned about the possibility of a “massive cut” to the police department and thinks City Council is on a “dangerous path.” Kelly said, “I believe without the necessary funding we’re not going to be able to change (APD) for the better …. Our city won’t be as safe.”

Thanks for digging into this. Sounds like Leffingwell is sundowning, not that he ever came across as someone who was especially very sharp.

Holy shit.  Republican voters on this board, please for fucks sake, do your duty here.  He has no shot of actually winning District 5 in the general, does he?

So social distancing and masks go out the fucking door when she's with her besties.

But when she's with her daughter and some animals, mask up!

Yeah this is the same city that was convinced by a few crooked council members that Uber and Lyft were bad. Austin deserves what it gets.

That's not what happened at all. They didn't want to play by the rules, and left on their own accord. Fingerprinting drivers sounds like a pretty good rule to me.  Both those companies are complete bullshit anyway. They don't turn a profit, they just burn cash attempting to gain marketplace, much like Amazon. That shit isn't even capitalism anymore.

  • Popular Post

That don’t make a shit.

The consumer loved them because they were lightyears more convenient & efficient than the shitty taxi service that dominated Austin for generations. Who cares what a screwup their corporate headquarters was.

Seems like that strategy worked out pretty well for Amazon...

People didn't feel like waiting a half hour for a shitty taxi driven by an asshole, so they use the Uber app.  People don't feel like driving to Wal-Mart for a few basic dry goods that can be delivered tomorrow for less money, so they use Amazon.  People don't feel like buying shitty Chryslers anymore, so even if Tesla loses money, they still want one.

Our City Council held up the permitting of the new Hyatt Centric because it doesn't have a parking garage.  That's how forward thinking our Council is.  Same people that can't build enough parking garages at our Airport because we all know how much fun driving yourself to the airport is.  And then out of the other side of their mouth advocate for a light rail track out to the Airport from the CBD.  They're the most regressively progressive elected officials that money can buy .

Uber/Lyft talk in the Fitlump thread not going away.

Point made. When you're an idiot who believe shit like this, you deserve fitlump.

FITLUMP 2020

Since I can't sign the petition, should I donate - I mean it is worth my entertainment $$$'s to see FitLump running for office; sorry to all in Austin if she actually wins

So she has raised $20k so far but doesn't want to spend $500 to get her name on the ballot??

Yeah, like I said, she's already drank all of that.

This should already be a huge red flag to all of those folks in that picture that likely raised a few grand for her.

So she'd fit right in to the Austin City Council!

Austin already has a fucktard in charge.

I agree, we need to mobilize the wreath fund. Austin deserves a Harvard educated city council member !!!

who lives in her district?

I’ll give a little credit here, rounding up those signatures is solid campaigning

"Fucktard" is on the business card of every current city council member.

Turns out that some people in Texas don't want their high school daughters learning pole dancing in school.

So South Austin's mom's side business is still safe.  For now.

An unapologetic, unbridled socialist.

But, yes, at least he's honest about it.
