So, now that you're a seasoned RV veteran, go grab that $5,000 trailer and let the adventure resume! :)

When my ship comes in without a doubt we will. Not for a year but for fun. Here and there.

No money down- $93k, financed over 20 years and its $650 a month.

If I hate it and need to sell it back, looks like maybe I will be able to get 80-85k based upon what I see 2 year old RV’s going for.

Brand new. Am I getting a deal?  Too much? Better idea?

I used to have a class C license and drove a bus when I coached soccer in high school. My bet is that it’s easier to drive this rig than it would be to pull a 23 or 30 footer on a trailer behind my truck.

Again, thanks to all you miserable sons of bitches who decided to make me spend an extra $89,000 on this fiasco.

So is my math right here, the Insurance company placed a value on the RV of $49K?  So your gap was $44K?

No- I went with used and financed 72k. So the gap was 23k.

I’ve given you a bit of shit over the years but props for going balls out on this thing. It was enjoyable.  And posting actual pics of your family.  A bit of humble sincerity was appreciated.

We'll always have the sex tent.

The GAP I sell covers a lot, but not 20k+. It should tell you in your policy.

Need to look it up. Bought it directly from my credit union.

How expensive was it? If it was a $300 or $400 policy it may only cover up to 125% but an $800 one will probably cover all. We only offer the cheaper one, but we don't finance $72k RV's all that often.

If I had to guess almost $1000. I honestly don’t remember. Have to look it up.

Yeah I bet you're golden.

My buddy is selling his that’s almost identical to the one you had. I can ask what he wants for it. That is if you want to start over in Atlanta.

Ask if he will trade it straight up for a gently used fuck tent.

Somehow I knew at the outset after the valiant screwdriver on rivets episode that the adventure was likely to have technical difficulties.  Simply as... shit goes wrong.  Shit breaks, and shit breaking on things of particularly low quality like RV's means a LOT of shit is likely to have issues on a cross country journey.  I must say I figured it would be plumbing and electrical, or driving related.  One of the biggies for people is pulling into a low hangover to get gasoline, but that's usually at only a few miles per hour. I figure you hit the bridge a bit faster than gas pump speed.

I think my only regret on this thread is that you didn't just buy a big fucking blue tarp, and a pair of portable A/C units and just kept on going!  A visual chronicle of that adventure and Walmart camping would have been absolutely epic.  Your tales of kindly strangers giving your wife and kids money spontaneously at Walmart, along the obligatory water and canned goods would have been a testament to the kindness of strangers.  Driving cross country with the family with an RV with a roof of duct tape and blue tarp overlays, would have given Clark Griswald a real run for his money...

hotels.com gave me $100 (he was like- wow- that guy was awful- I thought you might be exaggerating- I’m so sorry) and Wells Fargo gonna dispute charges and refund me my money.
Yikes- what an awful experience.
the only thing I can think is they are used to catering To budget conscious travelers and have contempt for them. Really ugly.

Sounds to me like either they or their friends wrote some,if not all of the"better" reviews.

So, they aren’t totaling it. Probably be another month or month and a half to fix.

So...where you headed first?  This thread was way better than this shit show football season.

No offense to @Wulaw Horn but we may want to roll out a bit more of a red carpet than a convertible camper and a sex tent for that.

I'm thinking this is an approximate take on @Wulaw Horn's reaction to the news.

And how am I the first person to post this video in the entirety of this epic thread?

Great news, I'm ready for both this thread, and the sex tent, to start "rockin" again.

OMG I tried watching that video in a quiet waiting room and could only get through the first 2 minutes before i was crying and had a dozen people giving me looks.

Indeed. Thats one of the funniest things I've ever seen. That is me at my job some days.

I understand his attitude.

Holy crap I finally got a chance to finish reading this thread and the plot turn was epic, and a little sad.  I hope season 2 is good too.

You gotta read the whole thread.  It's worth it for the sex tent alone.
