May 22, 20205 yr I keep watching those LHN rerun games. A couple of notes:  1. Keith Jackson, in the later stages of his storied career, developed a fetish for saying "Times Out" rather than "Time Outs"  Keith's usage might even be correct, but no one else uses it and it sounds stupid.  Well, with 54 seconds left on the clock in the 2005 Texas-Michigan Rose Bowl, he got so excited he said "Time Outs."  I was sorta shocked, and kinda inferred that Dan Fouts was also taken aback.  Almost as funny as Fouts quoting Caesar (from Suetonius) with "Veni, Vidi, Vici."  Which Keith translated for us as "Ah yes, how sweet the wine.." The latter was followed by a mumbled chuckle.  2. With 1:24 left in the 2005 Texas v. Ohio State game the camera turned to the crowd shot.  There it was, in clear focus. Some excited Horns fan had his (obviously male) right hand squarely on the right boob of a pretty young lady wearing orange.  Gary Danielson said something about the part already starting.  3. Cannot recall the game (perhaps one or two too many Martinis--7/1 Tanqureay/Noilly Prat) but there was a prolonged discussion of a misfire by 'Ol Smokey.'  Someone had come up just inches short on a TD run and the cannoneers fired the artillery too soon.  They were trying to reload the thing as quickly as possible and the commentators went on a long tongue-in-cheek discussion about premature firings. "It happens to everyone,"  "They always expect you to reload immediately" etc., etc.  This went on for about a minute and it was obvious they were no longer talking about the cannon but personal experiences.
