The New Yorker and the Associated Press published stories saying that National Enquirer publisher American Media Inc., paid $30,000 in late 2015 to Dino Sajudin, a former doorman at a Trump building to prevent him from publicizing a rumor that Donald Trump fathered a child out of wedlock. Sajudin told the tabloid he had heard Trump fathered a child with a Trump employee in the late 1980s, according to the reports.

If they reject Pompeo in committee then it's very unlikely that he would be confirmed.  With Rand being a no on Pompeo that is something they could do.

Trump should hold a press conference and perform a magic trick with a coin to prove how deceptive he can be with war plans.  Reporters might find a coin behind their ears very soon or a long time from now.  Then his next trick would be making Jeff Sessions disappear using a sheet and a smoke bomb.

Sources close to the Treasury Department are reporting that Steve Mnuchin spends a lot of money on travel and has a weird mouth.  One source stated that up close his mouth looks like his last name sounds.

This tweet has aged beautifully. Nice to have a President that tells the Truth.

Interesting.  Do you have any analysis from our esteemed President or anyone else who takes into account the fact that many local law enforcement budgets have been slashed by around 25% over the last 8 years, and those entities have lost thousands of uniformed officers?

Since, you know, the point of that tweet is correlation=causation.  Just wondered if anyone took into account other things that correlate to the issue of crime, like the number of law officers, and their budgetary capabilities, and the missions they've been charged with.  No?  Nobody did that?  He just cherry picked an issue that matters to him and his base, and committed the correlation= causation logical fallacy?  Not surprising.

Also, I note that the UK crime rate went up 13% in the first year of Trump's presidency.  Clearly, his leadership is so harmful that it even hurts our allies and their domestic crime rate.  You know, since correlation=causation now.  My conclusion is just as valid as Trump's.  I expect you to lap it up just the same.

Smokey my man, you should consider being more subtle in your troll.

You have to carry the weight of sheeeit, DSA, and Swam right now.

It's a huge burden but you can do it.

But your post doesn't say anything bad about brown people, so Smokey isn't going to find your particular dish palatable.

Trump weighs rejoining Trans-Pacific Partnership amid trade dispute with China

President Trump told top administration officials Thursday to look at rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the multination trade agreement he pulled the United States out of shortly after taking office.

Rejoining the pact would be a major reversal as Trump escalates a trade conflict with China. The 11-nation Pacific rim trade deal was intended by the Obama administration as a way to counter China’s influence, but Trump criticized the pact as a candidate and pulled the United States out of the pact in early 2017.

Trump gave the new orders to U.S. Trade Representative Robert E. Lighthizer and National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow during a meeting with lawmakers and governors on trade issues, according to two GOP senators in attendance.

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) said that he and others at the table raised the point that “if you really want to get China’s attention, one way to do it is start doing business with all the people they’re doing business with in the region: their competitors.”

Trump then told Lighthizer and Kudlow to “take a look at getting us back into that agreement, on our terms of course,” Thune said. “He was very I would say bullish about that.”

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) also confirmed Trump’s surprise move.

“We should be leading TPP,” Sasse said. “China is a bunch of cheaters and the best way to push back on their cheating would be to be leading all these other rule of law nations in the Pacific that would rather be aligned with the U.S. than with China.”

Good. Glad he pulled his head out of his ass once.

Assumption here is he pulled it out himself.  Probably some staffer used a powerpoint and/or puppets to explain to him that belonging to TPP was better for his "trade war" than not being in TPP.

He will change his empty, brainless head 60 more times.  He just told Sasse what Sasse wanted to hear.  The story will be different after Hannity him to stay out of TPP.

Of course there is now little reason for any of those other nations to bother negotiating with us, as long as a man who is famous for going back on his word and violating agreements on a whim remains in the White House.
