Even post-Trump they’ll rightly see this as a new risk in dealing with us. They may have a stable, dependable leader across the desk from them today, but what will stop the Americans from electing a stuntman from Jackass in four years that will undermine everything they’re planning?

Every single member of the Jackass crew would do a better job as President than Trump.

Isil launches fierce counterattack in Deir Ezzor after Trump's withdrawal announcement

Islamic State (Isil) fighters have been waging a fierce counterattack with suicide bombers and armoured vehicles in the days since Donald Trump declared the jihadist group was “defeated” in Syria.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said Isil fighters were emboldened by the news of the US withdrawal and were fighting to retake the town of Hajin in Deir Ezzor just days after they were driven out.

“They got high morale from US decision to withdraw from Syria,” said Mustafa Bali, an SDF spokesman. “Isil is still strong in the region.”

Whereas W and Obama sometimes made well intended but ill advised military missteps, Trump has neither the capacity nor curiosity to comprehend the human impact of his actions.  Our President profoundly lacks humanity.

Damn you Republican voters.  Look at what you have done.  You have shamed this nation, and the stain continues to spread.

The Voteview website they reference is pretty fascinating and informative.

If you can find his dot in this universe of representatives, you'll see that Beto is modestly liberal on the social scale and slightly to the right of most Democrats on economic ones (so not radical by any means). His Republican equivalents (modestly conservative on the social scale and slightly to the left of most Republicans on economics include names like Jeff Denham (CA), Evan Jenkins (WV), Adam Kinzenger (IL), David McKinley (WV), Mike Simpson (ID), Steve Stivers (OH), and Glenn Thompson (PA).

Yeah, you can say they're conservatives and they're Republicans, but they're not the radical firebrands of the party. Instead, they're pretty much what the standard issue old-school Republican used to look like. That's how Republicans/conservatives should view where Beto stands among his Democratic counterparts. One other interesting thing is that most of this group are from the Midwest.

"Who's living that they're not going to make it to the next paycheck?" he asked Politico reporter Sarah Ferris.

Narrator: A 2017 survey found that 78 percent of full-time workers live paycheck to paycheck, with 56 percent saying they were overwhelmed by debt.

FTR, shutdowns are overblown.  They eventually get worked out, most voters don't remember anything about them, and rarely does anyone miss a paycheck or get inconvenienced all that much.  In this instance, it's the strategy and tactics involved with all the parties involved which is fascinating.  Half hearted calls for a Wall that a majority of the America doesn't give a shit about.  New Dem leadership.... which is old Dem leadership.  Holiday shopping.  Freedom caucuses which are for anything but.  Anne Coulter and Rush Limbaugh bullying the President around.  Syria.  Afghanistan.  Impeachment.  Wild times.....

Everybody in America lives paycheck to paycheck. The GOP is Out of Touch!

It's hard to fathom having your political fortunes tied so tightly to Cheeto. I mean, after all these years, you'd think the Ds and the Rs would have a boilerplate bill that would keep all of the essentials open. If Dumbass vetoes it, then just override it and get home to enjoy Christmas. But no....

I guess. If he elected to build with Chinese steel, it would cost exactly as it always would because the “increase” is the tariff... which would pay for the increase.  Surely both parties are smart enough to see this when the bid gets put together.

Hadn’t thought about it that way. So the most fiscally responsible position (re: the bottom line of this project) would be for us to purchase 100% of the materials from Chinese companies rather than US suppliers. Hilarious.

You can't publicly vilify and humiliate every single person in your universe and expect to maintain friends and allies. I know because I've tried this.

All he has to do is make sure Putin loves him, and Putin loves him (like his favorite foot stool).

Trump is moist.

I HATE THE WORD MOIST.

It’s not the most obvious onomatopoeia but it’s certainly the grossest.

And Bernie Goetz. I haven’t thought about that guy in ages.

I bet Trump loved him.

He’s going full Howard Hughes pretty soon. “Leave the McDonald’s outside the door.” (While he shuffles around a dark bedroom with 4 TVs on, all tuned to Fox News)

How is Trump "damp"?  Did he piss his pants?  Is he sweating profusely?  Did he shit himself or (worse) (oh I can't even say it)?
