so i was left to ponder why the president is losing his shit over the boston globe. oh, here's why:

https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/editorials/2018/08/15/editorial/Kt0NFFonrxqBI6NqqennvL/story.html

it's a very good piece.

its amazing it has to be even said/written, but here we are

the media for the most part is shitty. we Americans are also shitty for consuming the shitty media and forgetting what news is. that makes it very hard to have this conversation for some simpletons who want to close certain press outlets. there is no victory for good, free press it seems.

its pretty much a downward spiral here. it will come to a head here soon enough and i am surely not looking forward to it.

hope you don't have to put the goggles on today my friends. they do nothing.

Military parade...for what, those guys aren’t real patriots...Dotard said it himself...

Dotard wants fake patriots marching in front of him?

I don't want to seem reactionary and jump the gun here, but it might be time to consider revoking Vladimir Putin's U.S. security clearance.

Also she was a dog

It seems that Trump once hired franklin to perform at one of his hotels.

"worked for him"

And a part of the female anatomy.  Or wait, the pee tube in men.  One of the two.  Helluva set of pipes.  With the organ alongside.  Wait, whut?

It may have been a reaction to something Trump was threatening. Somebody mentioned earlier that Ryan had said Trump was “trolling “ with his threats two days before it happened, so I’m guessing the possibility was in the news prior to the Russian tweet.

I'm sure the translation is correct (enough).  What I am not sure of is

a) whether it was a real tweet (in Russian)

b) if it came out July 24th (as alleged)

IF all that is true, it screams "Russia is driving our policy".

Whew.  I hope she's right.  At this point I can't trust anything I see (which is half the battle against media & information).

I mean, I loathe Trump, but I sure don't want to find out he's actually acting on orders from the Kremlin.

It's a real tweet. The translation is accurate (twitter has a built in translate function). The content is repeating what was being reported the prior day in places like the NYT: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/23/us/politics/trump-security-clearances.html

Uhhh, and about the guy tweeting that list:

Sorta an interesting old thread.

WTF indeed ....

No way Dotard wrote that about Aretha.  Slight hint of empathy and somewhat appropriate capitalization.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’m starting to think Donald Trump may not always have the United States’s best interest at heart.

Obama didn't tell us she is dead, so not sure what exactly he was referring to when he said rest in peace. Trump was very clear about that fact. Greatest communicator and president in history.

Curious gambit revoking Brennan's security clearance.  Almost like he wants a shadow government to be launched outta Austin.

Who is more incompetent: Trump’s administration or the City of Austin?

He’s gonna be triggered when he’s on the shitter tonight and hears about that.   He’s going to chew out Mitch’s wife, and she’ll have to get out the large strap-on.

Both.

What a country . . . the US Senate felt compelled to pass a resolution confirming a key aspect of THE FIRST FUCKING AMENDMENT.

That's like asking me to divide by 0. Does not compute.

That's like comparing the level of stink between Mad Dog's morning dump to Mangino's post buffet dump.

P.S. Trump is Mangino's post Panchos buffet dump.

In fairness to the dipshit, it could go something like this:

Don:  "Who's this we're listening to?"

Steven Miller:  "Aretha Franklin"

Don:  "Works for me"

At this point, I don't think anyone in the WH edits or suggests edits to Trump now.  While a factual statement, I think any PR person would tell him that instead of describing Franklin as an employee of his, just refer to her as someone he has worked with in the past.   Instead Trump unconsciously wants everyone to know that a famous person worked FOR him and WITH him.   changing one word can offer more class and r-e-s-p-e-c-t.
