I just have bits and pieces from some reports but basically the Kremlin was assured via back channel Sunday night that there would be no new sanctions.

Details about exact time and who the back channel was through remain unclear.

i reckon nikki haley is using her bully pulpit to influence things. she's one of the few competent officials trump has appointed. and he seems to want to try and hamstring her mostly reasonable positions regularly. why anyone who is not a piece of shit works for this piece of shit is beyond me.

 Moron in Chief.

It's really pretty simple for most. It was 8 years since someone of their party was in office, and, given how shitty the Trump admin. was likely to be, it very well could be 8 more years until the next Pub admin. If you're looking to advance an otherwise stalled/about to stall political career, you needed to make that jump.

And a few, like Tillerson, actually felt duty bound.

Heh.  It’s literally the first words out of any Trumper’s mouth when asked why they support Trump.  He gave us Gorsuch!

Gorsuch is the new Scalia, just as Trump promised

Trump and his Trumpkins are gonna be pissed...

He's going to get a lot of Americans killed with his stupidity

FDR had his fireside chats.

Trump has his Twitter from the Shitter chats.

We found a way to tell the world that the word of our Permanent Representative of the United States of America in the Security Council of the United Nations means nothing.  Not in the loop.  Disregard, especially when it comes to Vladimir Putin and Russia.

Yeah, this has all been run smoothly.  How much more fucking stupid are we willing to be?

zork stops by to confirm his deep-seated fear of women.

Trump is a spy. He clearly says it right there. Boom.

We're getting a new answer to this question almost daily.

Appreciation, not fear.  South Carolina girls are ok by me.  Mrs Haley has a bright future.

I won’t be happy until this bastard is impaled on a spire atop an onion skin dome  with neon screaming trump.  Fucking traitor.

I agree with the part where Trump says he's a spy.

Erdogan's goons beat the shit out of American men and women within yards of the Nation's Capital with no consequence and it took Trump days to even acknowledge it.  Now the guy uses words like "hopefully" while they hold an American hostage.  He hates to cross an autocrat.

Every. Accusation. Is. A. Confession.

This is the thing.  Trump is a goddamn embarrassment, but the two parties mostly differentiate themselves by where they stand on a few hot button social issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc.).  They vote mostly the same on the big issues because that's what they're paid to do.

No. No. No. No.  Enough with the "both sides" B.S.

Remind me the last time Democrats tried to gut medicare and SS, gut the EPA, gut education, and basically shit on every program that helps the middle class while giving handouts to the rich.  Remind me again how Democrats killed net neutrality and abandoned slaying the seedy pay loan industry.  Reminds me how Democrats rallied around Citizens United.  The two parties clearly have VERY different priorities and agendas.  No, they are not "mostly the same on big issues."

I'll give you that Democrats tend to give lip service to being against wars while ultimately being too hawkish, but other than that I'd love to see a list of issues they vote lockstep with Republicans on.  Oh, wait, I found a picture of that list.

To the interests of Exxon and that half trillion dollar Russian oil deal.

I’m with Trump on this.  As the master of the art of the con, he would certainly recognize one when he sees it.

NO COLLUSION!

Worst FBI Director in history?

MLK would probably disagree with him.

NO COLLUSION!

Remember that time he admitted to NBC’s Lester Holt that he fired Comey because of the Russia thing? Yeah, that was awesome.

You just have to laugh at the talking heads on TV trying to make sense of the 'miscommunication'' b/w DOTUS/Kudlow/Haley. Per always, Daddy Putin is pulling all the strings, and DOTUS is afraid to make him mad. Students reading their history books in 20 years will scratch their heads at all of the enablers.

In twenty years:

1. Books won't exist. They will have all been burned to stay warm during the nuclear winter.

2. We won't be reading anything, we'll be too busy trying to survive in the post-apocalyptic horror show that civilization has become.

Amusing anecdote from the future: when a hunter/scavenger lets a rat get away, and thus has to go hungry for another day, he or she will say "Thanks Obama!' without really knowing where the colloquialism came from or what it means exactly.

The passing of Barbara Bush really brings it home how quickly the America of our parents and grandparents is fading from view. People have it in their mind that the USA is indestructible. It's just not true.

Well, given that no one is even talking about the president's racism from 4 hours ago?

Although on second thought, maybe this is the USA of our great great grandparents.
