January 8, 20241 yr Perhaps my favorite Jok stat line ever tonight. 4/16/7 with 5 blocks on 67% shooting. He was 2/3 from the field in a blowout against the Pistons. He only played 24 min.
January 9, 20241 yr This is the absurdity that Jokic deals with every night. Even after watching in slow-mo it doesn't make any sense. He gets fouled almost every posession. And yet only shoots 5.6 FTs per game.
January 13, 20241 yr i love the fact the he consciously decided to make that pass. like, “well fuck it, if you’re just going to give it to me…”
January 13, 20241 yr And on the other end of the court, he blocked Zion's shot on the following possession.
January 13, 20241 yr Jokic over his last 7 games (not including his 10-14, 1-1 in progress)- lololololol
January 13, 20241 yr He’s played 39 games this season (inactive for 1). In 34 of those games he has 4 turnovers or less. In 28 of those games he has 3 turnovers or less.
January 14, 20241 yr 25 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, 1 block in a win vs Indiana. 12/13 from the field, 1/2 from the line. typical jokic stat line.
January 16, 20241 yr It's really a shame the NBA voters robbed Jokic of an MVP 3peat last year. Embiid is probably going to win it this year if he continues his current pace and doesn't get injured. If he does, then they will be in the same predicament next year when he will be going for a 3peat and they will have to pivot again to avoid it for whatever reasons. It's just stupid to turn the MVP award into some popularity contest instead of the typical "best individual player throughout the season."
January 16, 20241 yr jokic last 9 games: 22.7 pts, 9.8 reb, 9.6 ast, 1.3 blk, 1.1 stl 81% FG, 75% 3P, 85% FT i seriously doubt that there has ever been a nine game stretch like this in the history of basketball.
January 17, 20241 yr his efficiency is just other worldly. To do all he does and toss in 80+% FG shooting is nuts.
February 3, 20241 yr 11-16 fg, 1-1 3p, 4-4 ft, 27 pts, 22 reb (7 o reb), 12 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl, 1 W. ho hum.
February 23, 20241 yr ho hum. can’t wait to see all of the writers and voters bend over backwards to explain why they voted for tatum over jokic for mvp lol. i’m sure it’ll work out for tatum the same way it did for embiid.
February 28, 20241 yr Tatum has zero case. Look for everyone to pile on the SGA wagon if OKC gets the 1 seed.
March 3, 20241 yr Close game. Denver's down a point with about 4 minutes left. Haha just kidding, not really that close. And the thing is, he really doesn't have to make that many overt plays. Yes, there's a block, a steal, some key buckets and an assist, but there's also that intangible aspect--he makes everyone around him better. Boggles the mind.

April 2, 20241 yr Absolutely filthy.. especially the last pass to KCPThe lob pass that he batted to Braun in the corner was crazy, too.
April 4, 20241 yr This one against the Spurs was an all timer. I saw it live from another angle, and it may have been even more impressive.
April 4, 20241 yr 1 hour ago, shadow_operative said: What is it with retired NBA guys who feel they need to take shots at Jok? Last year it was Perk (who has since recanted) and now Arenas. It's like they can't process that the best player in the league right now is a big, slow white dude who can't jump.
April 4, 20241 yr Oh, yeah, don't let me leave out Mark Jackson who left Jokic off his MVP ballot altogether last year. Then claimed it was an accident.
May 13, 20241 yr Not often you find a bulky 7-footer with a touch floater. Can't imagine how many thousands of hours he needed to develop that.
May 13, 20241 yr I’ve noticed this about joker…He absolutely limp wrists some wide open bunnies. Like he expects some sort of defensive resistance, it doesn’t show and he’s so wide open he doesn’t have quite the touch lol. He’s done quite a few times this series…he makes this crazy and 1, then barely draws iron on a uncontested floater
July 29, 20241 yr He cooked embiid so bad that Joel is slated to miss the next 3 away games in denver
July 31, 20241 yr He cooked embiid so bad that Joel is slated to miss the next 3 away games in denver That motherfucker might never play in Denver again.
August 9, 20241 yr Why is this in the Jokic thread? All Embiid needed to beat Jokic and a bunch of guys was LeBron, KD And Steph. Good job.
