Looks like tuition is about to go up then. Gotta pay someone to do security.

You think the police perform security at football games for free?

I'd figured it be cheaper, but I could be wrong.

That'll put 'em in their place.

It's actually going to hit a lot of individual cops in the pocket book.  They make some good OT pay on game days.  I imagine that more enterprises will follow suit.  Extra income is going to be harder to come by for MPD cops, because they have demonstrated that they are not trustworthy contractors.

So random shakedowns of the public at large will go up.

Nice going.

Not that they won't do that, but individual cops don't make money from the tickets they write and such.  They make extra money by working OT/moonlighting.  Not hiring them is hitting them in the pocketbook.

If Officer Jones used to make 80k a year between his job and moonlighting, and now he only makes 65k, that may get his attention.  That's a good thing.

Barnaby Jones is just going to blame the black people who got in the way of his gravy train by having the gall to die on camera and then set a Target on fire (but the Target is partly to blame, let's not forget, for the insanity on the left too), and it will doom-loop the entire problem and they crack down harder on poor black folk.

Oh, you're probably right.  The pain of 80k to 65k may not be enough.  So we need to inflict more pain.  Make their pension accessible to judgments, for example.

The failure of fellow cops to police their peers must have consequences.  My idea: for a false statement given as a police officer that is intended to exonerate/excuse a cop who is later convicted of wrongdoing, such false statement is 1) charged as a crime, and 2) conviction of giving a false statement in support of a crime automatically results in the exact same sentence given to the primary bad actor cop.

All it means is more St. Paul, Bloomington, Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, and all the other surrounding burbs police will get a bigger contract.

Groovy.  And when one of them misbehaves, stop hiring their cops.

Want to make an extra $20k a year moonlighting?  Then make sure your fellow cops fucking behave and follow the law.  Think of it as society offering you a $20k performance bonus just for the accomplishment of not being a shitheel accessory to murder!

Not talking about writing extra tickets, I'm talking about flat out stealing / taking bribes.

It’s a start.  Pocketbooks are the only way to effect change at a pace that doesn’t take generations.

That probably wasn't originally a raccoon on that badge.
